I use a pro controller when on TV, and tabletop which works fine.
the motion controls on joycons(handheld) is the problem.
you need to roll the whole console for horizontal aiming/look instead of yaw that you mostly use in games with motion controls on handheld (take BOTW or Warframe for example)
there are few things which gives problem in aiming as well:
- the aiming is auto-calibrating(?) itself, and i have to readjust my aim every time since it moves by itself (checked the joycons itself, and it only happens on apex)
- small adjustments is very crucial for aiming which the game doesn't have. you need to turn the controllers a lot for the motion control to take effect. a small and slow movement on controller wont be registered as a motion input which makes long range aim hard
- the movement of the motion controls while aiming long range is not smooth its like (. . . . . . .) instead of (-----------) which means it only moves point to point and snaps to that point instead of a "flow" movement
i hope my explanation is somehow clear.

Same issues I encountered with motion controls. I use pro controller mostly. They way I use motion controls is like something that replaces the right analog stick. most of my camera movements and aim is done through motion control and the stick is just for big turns and 180 degree turns. These are my most problematic issues I am facing:
- For no reason, after you steady after a swing of motion, the camera drifts in different direction. this is problematic for sniping to the point that I can't make a hit on longer distance.
- Aim assist destroys the camera position with motion control. (Splatoon doesn't implement aim assist for this reason, Overwatch has aim assist strength and window size option to minimize intervention with motion control)
The inputs on gyro especially on look and aimdown sight camera movement on gyro doesn't feel straight. I played a lot of fps on switch with gyro but the input on apex feels like shaking and always goes off track.

Two things disappointed me when I tried Apex Legends: #1 - Blood effects (I made a post about this in the feed "Blood," because I will not be playing Apex at all until there is an option to turn off blood. I'm in my upper teens so this is not just a youngin' talking. I know that's not what this feed is about, but please see my perspective in the feed "Blood"! Thank you.) and #2 - Motion controls for Switch. I accidentally started a feed on this without realizing this had already been started. I would love to see a "yaw" or "tilt" option for motion controls as opposed to the current "roll" motion controls (that is, of course, if blood effects get the option to be turned off and I can play at all, lol.)
