rank split reset me to wrong rank

Where did the issue occur? Returning to the lobby after a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. N/A
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. i loaded up the game this morning

How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
How severe is your issue? Little to no impact to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? the ranked split reset me to the wrong rank (put me at gold 1) and says the highest rank i hit last split was diamond 3
What should be happening instead? since i hit diamond 2 last split (8601 RP) i should be reset to platinum 4 - game is not even saying i hit diamond 2 which is incorrect
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? i dont know

so ive been playing ranked a lot to try to hit masters, and last night i hit diamond 2 (i think my exact elo was 8601). today, the split occurred, and the game is saying i never hit diamond 2. not only does that just suck because i want my highest rank to be recognized, but the game has reset my rank lower than it should have. if it recognized me as hitting diamond 2, it would reset me to plat 4, but it has put me in gold 1 because diamond 3 is the highest rank it has me recognized as hitting. i dont have any proof, but the devs should have a way to check my match history and see i won a match that put me 1 point into diamond 2. attached is a screenshot i took this morning that shows how close i was to diamond 2, because immediately after my win to get into diamond 2, i fell out back into diamond 3

    yes it happens to me too! I was in Diamond rank but after the split, it ranked me down to Gold II. I have a photo of it. Look it shows above character Diamond badge but in left side menu Gold II. If I play rank now the badge above will become gold II. This happened to me last season and I did NOT receive Diamond rank rewards! PLEASE FIX THIS!

    bro thats not fair man I think we should take this to twitter. No one is reading this here. The split thing makes a lot of good players quit the game bro. Apex should be aware of this.

    Everyone will be soft reset on their ranked position by 1.5 Tiers down.
    You didn't get the Diamond trail the previous season because there was no Diamond dive trail reward.
    Good news!! The Diamond dive trail reward is back this season. If you reached Diamond in Split 1 or if you reach Diamond now in Split 2 then you'll get the Diamond dive trail at the end of this season and you can use it next season (Season 9)

    Keep in mind that dive trails are temporary only for one season.

    I understand that when the reset happened Split 1 ended you were Diamond 3, right? 

    It doesn't matter if you hit Diamond 2. You lost points and got demoted to Diamond 3 then the reset happened Split 1 has ended so your highest tier achieved in Split 1 was Diamond 3. 

    You'll get your Diamond dive trail when the current season ends and you'll able to use it only in Season 9 because dive trails are temporary only for one season.

    ya so i hit diamond 2 but then fell into diamond 3. however, the way ranked has always worked is it marks down the highest rank you achieved, not the rank you ended at. it shouldnt matter what rank you end in, it is the one you peaked at.

    you are talking about something completely different. ranked splits happen half way through the season and you get knocked down 6 tiers. this is normal. as for rewards, you dont get those until the end of the season.
