Unable to play after dying during TDM on Estates.

What happens when the bug occurs? I died on top of the center building while playing TDM on the map estates. I was in the Mixtape gamemode and used the option to re-queue. While awaiting to respawn, I turned to talk to the wife. I turned back and it was showing that I had spawned, but that I was still awaiting respawn with the timer at 0:0. I was not able to play the game normally. I was able to swap between spectate, scoreboard, choose loadout, and view legends. Use the settings and "escape" menus.
What should be happening instead? I should be able to die and respawn normally and play the game.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play mixtape as Gibraltar, get TDM on estates, use re-queue option get on center building throw down dome shield and lose a fight to an enemy with 1 hit left after opening the care package and swapping weapons.
