About Hemlock Elite weapons
There shouldn't be any problems with Hemlock's basic capabilities. You can then make your own judgment based on the detailed data you've acquired.
However, there will likely be many issues with the Hemlock Elite's breaching capabilities.
The most important point you need to understand first when implementing this, but probably haven't grasped yet, is that this gun will be used by all Legends in various situations. This is an absolute prerequisite.
Based on the above, the most important point can be summarized in one sentence: it must be fair for both parties to use it.
The important points are explained below in bullet points.
- This ability can be used without consuming anything, and by its very nature, it is equivalent to or even superior to tactical skills. While this in itself is strange, it's not a major problem. The problem is that there are tactics and special moves that can be neutralized by this ability. Some might think of similar weapons like the Rampage or Bosek Bow, but their properties are completely different. The Rampage and Bosek Bow simply grant the ability of a grenade in exchange for using a grenade itself. They also have a limited number of uses.
- Another issue is that different positions within a player create advantages and disadvantages. For the attacking side from outside, there won't be much of a disadvantage. However, if the player inside uses the Hemlock Elite's breaching ability, it will create a disadvantage, which is unfair. The reason why players on the inside are at a disadvantage is because of the explosive damage, which is widespread. Of course, this depends on the building's structure, but a weapon that gives only one side an advantage wouldn't be fair. The ability to destroy windows is fine, as it broadens the tactical options for both sides.Since the explosion radius and damage would not make for a fair use, a fair specification would be to destroy only the window at the hit location without an explosion radius(doors would not be destroyable). This would also allow for control over where the destruction occurs.
As mentioned earlier, being able to use the Breach ability without consuming ammunition or other resources is unusual considering the previous specifications. In order to make it usable without consumption, the ability to deal damage to Legends would need to be removed.
In short, to summarize one last time, please limit the Hemlock Elite's breaching ability to only destroy windows. This is because windows are common to all Legends. Destroying doors is unnecessary considering that it would be detrimental to some Legends and there are multiple other weapons that can destroy them. Also, since it's an ability that can be used without consuming anything, the damage should only be to windows, and the damage to Legends should be 0. Furthermore, from a strategic standpoint, it might be more interesting to destroy only the hit location, as it might be difficult to control where the destruction occurs.
That's it.
