His passive will be less... of a bonus due to this change, absolutely. And really, the blurred vision played so well into setting up ambushes and taking out enemies who were not prepared for the trap. But with the removal of blurred vision inside Nox gas... I mean- more damage is nice but~~ I'd prefer a more debilitating affect.
How am I supposed to punish a 3-person squad for grouping together now? Since they'll be able to see me clearly- AND their surroundings; I (and many others) won't be able to 1v3 reliably anymore.

I'm not a fan of this change. I have played Caustic from the start when he was pretty bad. The previous change allowing people to shoot the barrels when they were deploying blunted him somewhat, but this change is stupid.
If i am being chased down i cant get away, but i can duck into a building and throw a trap down and discourage a team from following me but its back to being a big fat sitting duck again. Sure, if you got down to the end of the game and a tight contested area you had an advantage, but its not like it was an "I Win" button is it? What is Caustic left with? A pretty obvious trap, that does negligible damage and that can be easily seen and destroyed with one shot and takes time to deploy. Even throwing down his ultimate takes long enough to get you killed if you need to use it as a panic button.
If they insist on keeping this change they could do a few things. Make it take more than one shot to take down a barrel, remove the ability to shoot it whilst deploying and/or reduce the time it takes to throw the ultimate down.
I would prefer it if they just reverted it to how it was in season 6, i thought that was fairly balanced. Dont forget, Caustics always have to deal with other Caustics out there that can ignore their traps . . its not like caustic is untouchable. Wattson can still barricade their team inside a building and have an ultimate that means you cant even throw grenades in there and will be slowly replenishing their shields as well.
