I believe this is more of an issue due to teammates fighting together and because the playable area isn't really big.
Escaping becomes harder if you don't have enough teammates nearby, so it's pretty easy for one or two players to chase you.
Next to that if they have a lot of players, well, they'll be holding a lot more angles, meaning that you could get beamed from any side.
Yeah, this is the same for any LTM you usually get at least two or so players who will beam you heavily and you can run and possibly run into someone else, it's always down to luck in the direction you go, depending on if i am on my game i can nearly one clip some players or get close, then their is some matches i fire at them but they flick around and end up one clipping me which can be annoying. But a lot of the players who play the LTMs have been arena players so they can and will be good.
