Matchmaking is killing this game for me as a casual player

This is horribly true 

I've stopped complaining about it. If there is one thing I know, then it's that even after 5 seasons of talking about this did nothing except for making it worse. And frankly I doubt EA is going to change it anytime soon because bashing on new players is the true excitement for top-tier players. I can only do this much. I can express my concerns and remain ignored by 90% of the community that could have an impact. Frankly because I think no one cares as long as they're not affected themselves.

@HappyHourSumwur+Smurfs. Worse than cheaters. Isee only 2-3 cheaters a day but see 50+ smurfs in day.

@FPShogunIt's almost sad to see that people use their skill to ruin low-tier matches. Like, they've already grown this good, and they're telling me they are going to use that skill on a bunch of low-tier players? That's a waste, honestly. That's like attaining a lot of skill in some random Singleplayer game and then using this skill on easy-mode.

If Respawn and EA wanted to improve Apex Legends to be more appealing to every skill group, then it would have already happened. Respawn has the capabilities and the expertise to introduce a working system. Afterall it shouldn't be too difficult to at least do some rough sorting. The skill difference between high and low is enormous, so narrowing it down to a basic level of matchmaking shouldn't be difficult.

The reason why it hasn't happened yet is because Respawn and EA will keep gaining players who get trapped in the addiction cycle. Why change a system that works perfectly for them? As terrible as it sounds, but all of us are guilty of the same thing. We just keep playing until a potential alternative takes the reign, and perhaps end up getting trapped in the same cycle there.

A long story short, before we get a proper match making, we might as well just take the beating and make those people happy that are allowed to beat up people like an adult beating up their kids. Some people will always love to stomp on weaker players to get some kind of satisfaction. And frankly it gets on my nerves, but at the same time I really have to save my nerves for other things in life, like work, family, friends and whatnot.

@HappyHourSumwurMatchmaking, smurphs, cheaters, and being unable to opt out of cross play on PC is killing the game.

(Before people go "pC pLaYeRs HaVe MoVeMenT", yeah and you have that aim assist that cheaters are abusing with xim and strikepacks, etc., you console players also have a /choice/ to play with PC players)

@Peri_Longbow_plzYou are 100% right, and that's kind of sad. Why make a "free to play" game with a really high skill floor designed for pro & competitive players? The skill disparity between me and twitch level payers is absurd in this game, but matchmaking doesn't seem to handle it at all.  Maybe Respawn is just trolling us and laughing at how bad so many players are.

Stop giving them money.  That is how you force change,

That aside I don't think this is the game for you.

Given how much effort you have put into making threads vs getting yourself to a place where you feel comfortable in the game.
