Not sure why or what you've done to the matchmaking recently but its now awful, almost unplayable. Im a pub casual player and its been nice seeing my progression slowly grow this season. K/D ratio grew from .89 to 1.03 then the games got ridiculous, useless team mates and out manouvered and deleted by more advanced teams, I've now reverted down to .93 in a matter of days and its getting worse. Used to have at least one win a day but now ill be lucky to win at all. I know a K/D isn't something to go by but it i did feel like i was improving at a good rate now its just annoying and frustrating, no longer the fun and enjoyable experience it once was. Why did you change it? It was working fine before. Please change it, i love Apex but your making it very hard for me to enjoy it. I can manage useless team members but not when im up against the olympic gymnastics team armed to the teeth.

Np, and yeah same here. I've had fun with this game since Season 1, but this is the worst it's ever been. I never enjoyed ranked because you have to play so carefully, and I get bored. But now, with pubs feeling exactly like that, I don't even feel like playing, which is a first for me lol.

They killed the game for me. I am stuck with predators and masters when I was barely able to get to diamond the first seasons. Now its not even a game, its a job that I have to do because I cleared every battle pass since the start. Honestly, I hope they will fix it , if not I hope the game will die quickly to be freed from this. :D

@AreYouShivering Yeah, and I just got a level 62 Octane and a level 442 Pathfinder.The Octane wasn't a smurf because they tried to 1v3 a whole squad with only one gun, they had no map awareness, let alone was able to even aim, while the Pathfinder looted up first, but then tried pushing the squad by themselves the moment Octane got knocked instead of making the fight be long range or escaping to later try to grab Octane's banner. I've tried to get both of their banners after escaping, but the enemy team that killed them literally pitched up tents and were making smores.So I was given a "noob" and a unskilled player in ranked and was pitted against box campers. They camp even when there's a support legend on the team. I was Valkyrie for this match, now I'm playing as Lifeline since I can't trust my teammates to not die and timeout.Edited: Just ran into a no badge, no tracker Fuse, I checked their stats using an Apex stats tracker website, and it says they're a level 64. They're also cheating up a storm. How I know they're cheating? Easy! They're snapping to targets, including ones behind walls, their health gets blocked from dropping too low, and they don't got any optics on their gun while shooting from any distance.

@Midnight9746 To be honest, "I don't know what I'm doing, but all I know is that I must shoot" is the correct way of thinking. Of course, new players (experienced players too, or just everybody I meet in this game...) can't do anything, but "I must shoot" is the only strategy for learning. Yes, it's frustrating for the team. But although you have a squad, this is not a team game.This is a disproportional game, a modern version of Hunger Games. Everything here is disproportional, you name it. Matchmaking - pairing complete newbies with pros and dropping 20 squads like this into the game. Does it sound like a team game? Matches require you to shred the whole lobby, or do absolutely nothing to win. Does it sound like a team game? Your skill, rank - doesn't matter. There is always that one teammate outperforming others by the mile. Does it sound like a team game?

Ah, i see. Thank you for the info. This has literally taken the fun out of it. I Will play a couple of games get frustrated and leave to the point where i just wont even bother now. Time to do real life stuff i guess lol and hope they sort this mess out in a couple of seasons time

Not to mention the game deciding that console players and pc players should be put in the same match. Everyone says it's fair because of aim assist, but it's unnoticeable even at POINT BLANK RANGE.

Right, been playing a good few hours now on season 18 and have to say, the matchmaking has been, on the whole fairly decent. Been pubbing on duos and trios had a few wins, not as many as before and most games tend to last longer than the lobby waiting times. Most gun battles seem to be evenly matched, noticing it's my aim that's off rather than the skill gap being an issue. Don't get me wrong, there are games where I'm out in minutes but that's generally due to people landing late or wrong place/time. So, hats off to EA and respawn for making Apex playable again. The horrendous matchmaking at the end of last season must have been a crazy blip in the system so I'm glad the new season didn't start that way. Let's hope it doesn't end that way!

I'm in exactly the same boat my K/D last few seasons was 3-4. This season I'm sitting at 1.6, it's got that bad that I won't solo que on my main. I swap to a smurf which I don't wanna do but I only wanna play on my main when I'm in a pre-made, as most players I feel are in pre-mades that I'm fighting. I used to play with a couple of friends who are maybe not as good as me but they said playing with me was worse than ever. Which is left me in a dilemma as I have to solo que most of the time. I can't see them ever reverting it as I think they are looking at the new players to help them get into the game as it's more money for respawn.

Yeah same here. Match making seems better again. That or I got used to dealing with triple stacked Preds over the last week.
Edit: Must have had a lucky night when I posted this. Ridiculously sweaty lobbies are all I get again. I'll be looking for another game. Won't even get to level up the Valk skin I just got, but oh well.

Same for me. This season has been awful and not worth the time to play it. I'm spawned with the worse teammates and going against masters and preds, while I can barely get out of bronze.
