Pathfinder's new passive idea

This is an idea for Pathfinder's next passive, since his current passive (using survey beacons) is now available to the other recon legends currently: Bloodhound and Crypto.

-Since all other recon legends have abilities involving scanning enemies, (Bloodhound's scan and Crypto's Drone scan while in view) Pathfinder's reworked passive could involve scanning enemies too, more similar to how Crypto's drone works, but meant for mid to longer ranges.

-For example, if an enemy is pinged, shot, or possibly just in the center of the player's crosshair for a couple seconds straight while aiming down sights while playing as Pathfinder, they are marked like how the other recon characters mark enemies with their abilities, possibly only with the triangle symbol and not having a highlighted or outline effect on the enemy or just highlight the exposed parts of the enemy to have it more balanced.

-As the enemy, a thing that says "spotted" would display like how Crypto's drone or Bloodhounds scan lets the opponents know they are being scanned. -This would be only if the idea is very unbalanced or maybe only occur in specific situations.

-The enemy would only continue being marked as long as they are in view of Pathfinder and not completely obstructed by anything, no matter if the player as Pathfinder is aiming down sights or not, or if they have not been pinged, shot, or aimed down at for a couple seconds straight from the Pathfinder after some period of time. Pretty much If consistent sight of the enemy is lost, they are no longer spotted and marked with the orange triangle or whatever.

-This would make Pathfinder like a camera capable of spotting enemies with more information, which seems fitting.

-The range on how this would take effect could also be affected if a sniper scope is being used for example.

-It could be called "Surveillance"

That's my thought's on a new passive for Pathy 🙂

  • I agree with this buff my only question is is there something that will tell them they are scanned by pathfinder.

  • @Amun-Zod Like a reverse voices from the void. The only thing I don't agree with is notifying the enemy that they've been spotted. If your trying to snipe someone, that could become a problem.
