Its annoying that people constanly leave on death, or even knock. Its pub, ok, but if you want just to shoot, go play mix tape. I suggest blocking them option "Fill teamates". They want to play so...

    Getting a free early leave twice per day should be enough for cases where the rest of your team is just toxic. After that implementing the standard "wait 15 minutes" penalty just like ranked feels justified.

    I would keep the standard banner timeout, because removing the penalty when you become a deathbox doesn't actually punish the right behaviour. Namely the Wraith/Octane/Pathfinder that splits off and immediately dies and then leaves.Having to wait 3 minutes after getting thirsted is minor inconvenience for most play styles except for the habitual hotdrop-die-leave players

I think a leaver timer just like in ranked but more forgiving would suffice, like disallowing leaving while you are alive or knocked but free to leave as soon as you become a lootbox (i.e no "banner timer). Because the problem with penalize early leavers in pubs is that its hard to take into account for the actual situation. There are so many situation when an early leave is justified, like if a random jumps solo or just runs solo and you die when he is on the other side of the map. And dont get me started to premade duos. You fight 3v3 and suddently, you realize you are 1v3 because the premade duo decided to run away. Imagine the frustration of having to wait for 6 minutes or whatever the total bleedout/banner timer is, spectating that BS in an unserious gamemode like pubs.

Another solution would be an "allow early leaver" checkbox which teams up players that are OK with this with each other and players who arent with each other. Dont know how this would affect the randomness in skill level of the teams. Might end up with lobbies of 10 no leaver teams with low skilled players and 10 teams of 4ks preds since high skill players generally dont care about early leavers.

@Balladalidila For me simple 2-3min coold down as somebody leaves alive or knocked would be sufficient.
