QOL: Add Global Cross-Platform Friends List

So, for a while now I had Steam linked to where my Steam friends showed up when using the EA App. Lately, its been showing players I'm no longer friends with. At the time, I had forgotten about my Steam privacy setting in regards to the friends list visibility, so I had unlinked Steam in-game and tried relinking.

This of course, didn't work and bugged out other games, such as Need For Speed, (which was bought on Steam), despite having Steam still linked to my EA account, (just no longer to Apex). After relinking accounts, everything got fixed, besides in-game, where the button that says "Link Steam Account" has me login to Steam through a Respawn account page, only to then tell me that "my friends list isn't public on my Steam profile", even though it is.

After some looking into, I guess this Steam link button doesn't work as we're suppose to launch the game on Steam. I'll have to redownload it and see if that's the case. I had it installed earlier before the initial unlink, but it was still showing former friends on my list, (again, before I remembered about the privacy setting for the Steam friends list).

While trying to figure how to fix the friends list sync issue, I launched the game on my Switch, and noticed that despite having both cross-play and cross-progression, my PC friends don't show up on my Switch. In other words, each platform, (including EA App/Origin and Steam) has their own friends list, and this friends list is ONLY shared on the same platform type. (PC to PC, Xbox to Xbox, etc.)

In all honesty, the friends list should of gotten an overhaul when cross-play was introduced, to where you could see your friends on any platform, as long as your accounts were linked. Now with cross-progression, I don't see a reason why this wasn't added yet. Games like Fortnite has this functionality. I was able to see my Epic Games friends on my Switch, and my Switch friends on my PC.

Furthermore, if the "Link Steam Account" button is no longer "working", as in, you have to download it on Steam to "link" it to the game, why not just remove the button or have it read the EA connections on the player's account? Because if it read mine, it would see that I have a Steam account, one that I had relinked to try and get it working again.
