Rank 1.5 tier split maximum

Players should never go down more than 1.5 tier per season, it is ridiculous to get them lower by 3 tier every season if they don't play. We need fair rank , we need to play with players of similar rank not with predators who stopped playing for a while. We already have a smurfing problem where predators and masters and diamonds go play platinum with friends all day long we don't need them on their main account also doing platinum because they stopped playing for a while. That's why so many are stuck platinum and can only rank up a bit during the last 2 days before the split. THank you

    @Palette24carats I can agree to some of this. I normally other then this season solo to plat just to do it. The fact im pushed back to silver every season is just not fair for the lobbies in silver to gold. I prefered the way the older reset was which was 1 rank below your current. This ended the inflation of users who should not be in that lobby. Skill IMO should also play a role to protect lower-level lobbies. As example, if this person is in plat and it shows they were once pred/master then they should only drop to gold for those reasons. This creates a dual checker with their current system with an extra check of let's see if this guy needs to be dropped to the bottom or 1 rank below his. It would just protect silver/bronze lobbies. Those lobbies tend to have very low levels who are just starting ranked and to slam their lobbies just will discourage them from playing ranked or trying to improve.

    Yep. To protect bronze and silver lobbies from smurfs to keep it fair and low skill I would use another tactic I would level up instantly anybody with a kd ratio higher than 1 to gold lobbies. If you kill more people than you die from it doesnt make any sense for you to be in the lowest of the lowest tier. That means preds and master and diamonds would never go back to those ranks

    @Palette24carats It's all about the engagement. The introduction of the mid-season ranked split made that very clear. They want you to grind ranked as much as possible, just to demote you quite severely after +/- 6 weeks. Hence why I'm never doing ranked games again because it seems useless to me.

    I agree with your post 100% but they will never do that.
