Right-click on the desktop sound icon and select "Troubleshoot Sounds Problems."
After that try right-clicking on Apex Legends in Origin and select "Repair." Then try launching the game again. The troubleshooter yields no results, and the "repair" option is grayed out.

I know it's not ideal, but a re-install might do the trick. Another Legend had a similar issue over the weekend and came back claiming the audio issues were fixed after a reinstall.
Before attempting that though, I'd make sure the connection is refreshed on your network so you're getting maximum strength with your connection speed. Unplug the power to the modem/router for 5 minutes which should help clear up any hiccups with the link to our servers. This way, any potential corrupted data during the installation will be avoided.
