After testing more.
- I found that the charge rifle will do it's maxed damage at 0-250 meters. This is 100% damage no falloff whatsoever.
- Now, at past 250 for example, if you are about 251 meters away and hit someone with the beam. The damage won't be 45 but something like 44. This number gets lower slightly depending on how many meters away you are from shooting the target. That maxed number is exactly 390 meters. At 390+ meters, that 45 beam damage will hit for exactly 30. So you can say Falloff damage is at and between 250-390 meters with 30 being the lowest damage.
And a headshot with falloff damage would be about 38 (beam not counting the ticks). With ticks, most likely 68 damage from 390+ meters away assuming you landed the headshot.
Problems, lets be real here. Most people will be in the 0-250 meter range when using the Charge Rifle. Most sniper in this game don't even snipe that far anyway. So falloff damage at 251-390+ meters means nothing. Even if you are sniping someone that far, trying to third party with the Charge Rifle. You are succeeding by making the enemy team waste their heals without them contesting you.
Seriously, the only fix is to make Charge Rifle a Care Pack weapon or lower the population of this weapon.
If I'm in Ranked, I'm picking up the Charge Rifle. It's a must pick no matter what. Best normal sniper weapon in the entire game. Outclasses the G7 Scout, Triple Take and Longbow. Which is sad because I feel like the other three snipers are balanced (except you still need give us the option to turn off the precision choke on Triple Take).
I've seen a few other Tubers and Streamers say the Charge Rifle still needs another nerf. What more proof you need.
