@chiefthunderball Audio is non-existent in ALL modes. I've recently turned on THX sound system (Razer Synapse), and it improved the audio. I was happy about that. Then not even 5 minutes into a match, the game wouldn't stop lagging, and the sound optimizations died and reverted instantly back to how it was. So basically, the game doesn't like it when you try to hear it better.
[Edited] @chiefthunderball I forgot to mention the fact that I know the audio is terrible when I upload a video to Youtube to show a friend a clip from a match, and the volume is 10% of what I heard from the game. While yes, Youtube's volume is set to 100% and every other video is loud and clear. Its blantly obvious that Apex is so quiet, even recording software aren't able to really pick it up.
I can hear the audio get silenced more and more with each update. While, no its not my device or me going deaf. I can hear anything that can be heard in every single other game that I own. I can hear objects get thrown far and close away in Phasmophobia, I can hear mobs in Minecraft, I can hear surviors in Dead by Daylight wimper in pain when they're injured and hiding, I can hear enemy pirates swimming towards me in Sea of Theives. Yet I cannot hear someone running at me in Apex for some reason. Its absolute radio silence.
1) Broken SBMM throws full groups of pred players in with lower ranked players.
2) Respawn never bothered to take care of the on going gun issues in this game that literally make it one sided. ie. R99's being able to out damage snipers at max range.
3) the cheater issue. they dont bother to do any janitorial work on their game out of sheer laziness.
4)controller players are still mixed in with PC players and aim assist literally ruins it. people always say "oh but PC players have an advantage" not really, because in close quarters the controller players always win. its laughable at this point to even continue to play this game.
i dont know why they have a feedback section on here because the developers dont bother to check it out. at this point this game is more about how much money can we make off skins and cosmetics.
@Midnight9746 While I know you will not like my response on this I will say this has to be on your end in terms of altering sound and causing lag. I am constantly changing my audio settings using the very same program and I do not have these issues at all. Comparing other games audio to apex audio also holds no barrens on this issue. Those games you mention do not have near the amount of noise apex can produce all at one time. So for that comparing them is like comparing oranges to apples.
@FPShogun Its kinda Team Death Match and King of the Hill mashed together and I like that but I think midnight’s suggestion to make everyone focus on B and then only have A and C open up periodically as a bonus thing to do would be better than having all 3 points up at once separating everyone
either that or they could make it more like king of the hill and have one point that rotated to different locations like on Barometer there could be the usual A B and C but there could also be a D in the middle of that rotating platform area but only one point would be active at a time and then they would rotate every 90 seconds or 120 seconds idk
Please let me turn off in the settings the red outline of the enemy players. It throws off my aim and I would also like to practice enemy spotting in control.
Control is 100% overrun by every cheater and smurph ever. All these cheaters do is take their zone, the middle zone, and then maybe your zone, and then just spawn camp you or snipe from the center of the map with aimbot. I can't even go anywhere near zone B, because a hacker already locked onto my head and had saw me coming through the walls.
It be nice if the cheating / smurphing situation gets actually HANDLED, as well as reveal ALL enemy players who are near your spawn point to your WHOLE team, should also force these campers into taking damage, so they're forced to knock off the camping. I litterally just had a match where the enemy team set up fences on a hill right next to my team's spawn, and our zone, and 5 of them just campped there the whole time, 2 in which had aimbot, 1 was a smurph. This match had 6 hackers, so the other 4 who weren't spawn camping us, were killing anyone and everyone who went near zone B or dared to even look at it.
@Midnight9746 Control is NOT overrun by smurfs... smurfing on control mode doesnt make any sense for anybody... it is probably the game mode that has the LEAST smurfs. What you see on the control mode is New Players that come probably from COD they already shoot very well and have been playing this kind of game mode for years on an other game. Apex broke its own record of total players with the arrival of this new game mode.
@Palette24carats Some of the matches, 70% of the enemy team are below level 60, those are smurphs, considering they're also ratings leaders and such.
"Smurfing doesn't make sense" then why are there level 12's and such playing this mode like preds? Also don't pull the whole "they came from COD", while aiming is similar, COD is much, much different. These "COD" players are destroying us like we have the HP pool of COD. Apex players have more HP, there for, its just a bunch of smurphs and cheaters ruining the gamemode.
Also COD is notorious for its cheating, so by saying "they came from COD", its like saying "they brought their cheats over". A lot of Warzone players stopped playing Warzone, because cheaters wouldn't stop cheating.
I've also said "Control is 100% overrun by every cheater AND smurph ever", I didn't say most of the teams are smurphs.
The zone lock out (when one team controls all 3 zones), needs to be removed. Cheaters just take theirs, B's, and then bully you at your spawn point.
You make false assumptions while the facts are here that there was an influx of new players for the new mode.
Then you make the false assumption that Cod players who master mouse aim and pre aim for quick kills in any Fps game cant beat you because you know better how to use your apex tactical and how to slide?! They know how to strafe too and how to quickly kill.
@Palette24carats In fact it is your pride that is hurt everytime a level 200 and lower with no badge kills you it makes you try to find a reason why this should never be.
@Midnight9746 Why are you so mad do you do more than 2 kills per control game? On PS in control 75% seems to be new accounts lvl 60 and under but I have lots of fun I dont complain sometimes those new accounts kill me but I kill them more often I do from 5 to 12 kills every game and when I get killed I blame myself not complain they cheat unless it is impossible
@Palette24carats Cheaters are any level, smurphs are typically level 100's and lower. You're mixing up points and at this point it seems like you're just targetting me.
Also, showing a Steam chart doesn't really mean much, and I can't easily provide "proof", as videos easy counts as "naming and shaming", which cheaters/smurphing players names are NOT allowed to be displayed on the fourms, because of the TOS's "no naming and shaming" rule.
@TheApexLegendNub This is an assumption that doesnt make sense there is absolutely no reason to use a smurf at the start of the season for a mode that doesnt give any badge for kills and damage. Those are new players! Proven by record number of players on apex.
@Palette24caratsI was talking about any mode in general, I have seen smurfs in control too though
People don’t always smurf for badges, some smurf so they are not thrown into Master/Pred Lobbies or so they can play with their friends who are lower skilled than them...
The reason Midnight sees more hackers/smurfs is because Midnight is more skilled than me so I mainly just see the ones Apex hasn’t picked up on yet... like rn Im spectating a level 84 that has 5171 damage and 11 kills as a solo in trios but he just died... he wasn’t cheating but he was definitely smurfing or is a ‘’pro player’’ from Fortnite, Warzone, etc or recently switched to PC from Console
@TheApexLegendNubYeah, exactly. I just had 3 matches where there were 4 low levels across them, and they were levels 11, 13, 14, and 17. They were snapping to anyone on my team, and weren't missing shots long range with guns like the car. They had perfect aim and control over recoil, and somehow knew where I spawned, even when there was walls between us.
The last match had 2 of these low levels (11/17), and a ton of master players who played like bots, but had god aim, and were levels 200-500, I'm guessing they're hacked accounts, but not 100% sure on that. All 3 zones got taken from us, and the hackers/smurphs just spawn killed us, and zone locked us.
Control needs 1 zone and it needs the lockout to go away. Its a stupid mechanic and right now it highly encourages cheating and spawn camping. The hillside on Olympus, and Bio on Stormpoint also encourages sniping players at their spawn, or anywhere near the points. So when you do get cheaters, its IMPOSSIBLE to win.
Control also needs an arena style protection zone where you CANNOT hurt players who spawn, and it highlights you if you try camping or spawn killing, making incoming damage deal more, so you cannot just sit there and prevent the enemy team from being able to actually play and enjoy the game. When teams spawn kill and blantly use cheats, I'm seeing players leave the match on either side.
I tried looking up these smurphs, but they're all using Steam names. My guess is to make it impossible to search up their stats and to make reporting them harder.
Image taken within the first few minutes of the match, so not enough time to fully see anything special on their kills.
I don't remember who was smurphing in this match, but I do remember that the Caustic, Crypto, Maggie, Lifeline, and Octane all seemed to have either wall hacks, aimbot, anti-recoil, or the combination of those cheats. They were not missing any shots, and the Caustic and Lifeline were the ones mainly going ham. The others would snap to targets but purposly take longer to kill you to act innocent, or maybe they were pros. I don't know. Their badges and stats screamed "casual gamer".
I'm also not saying they're cheating due to the number of kills they got, I've watched the ones I suspect of cheating fight my teammates, and anyone that crossed their path were one hits to them. I walked into a building, and in what felt like one bullet, my armor and health was instantly zapped by the Caustic and Lifeline. Sounds suggested that they barely fired as well, although sound is broken. My team had to basically 9v1 each of these players just to kill them.
@Midnight9746The lock out is absolutely necessary it cant go away. The reason you are locked out in the spawning zone is because the other team is way more skilled at killing your teammates when that happens it is not because the mechanic of zones is broken it is because the other team owns you simply so you dont want that game to last 20 minutes anyway players are already leaving in the losing team because it is not fun being shamed in the spawning zone. Enemy team cannot spawn at the base closest to you which is a way to facilitate you taking it back by sending them far to respawn if you cant do that then too bad it is better the game ends early. This happens no more than 1 out of 10 games for me.

Respawn did a great job on this mode only one thing is broken: the possibility to go into the respawning zone and kill respawns at the very second they spawn.
@Palette24carats This is a mode where it's supposed to be fun for BOTH sides, and it just kills the gamemode when one team is allowed to dominate the other team like that.
You obviously seem to support things such as spawn killing. The lockout has absolutely no reason to exist. At some point it stops being a game, and becomes more of a massacre.
I have more fun fighting for control over zones, then I do when the matchmaking obviously scrambles teams a bit unevenly in skills, and your team either dominates or you're the one getting destroyed. If I wanted to be completely helpless in a game, I would just stand still and not move, in fact I wouldn't even play games.
Its honestly players like you that ruin the experience for other players.
@Midnight9746Wrong I dont ruin the game for anybody and I dont support spawn killing. If we're in a lock out I still have fun playing and up my game so I can manage to do a few kill and sometimes we cancel the lockout and even win the game because it forces us to play more together as a team.
Seems like anything can ruin the game for you you must be a very bad loser that keeps complaining which make you not fun to play with.
