Second part is a qualified guess, as they surely don't scrap an entire map for the sake of renewal... - @DoYaSeeMe That would make me stop playing.

McCoy expressed, "then based on feedback from players, and the data we can get, we have a lot of different levers we can pull to see what we can do about reintroducing Kings Canyon.Although there is no official date on the return of the map, it is likely that it will be out of action for at least a few weeks before the demand starts to rise for the familiar battleground.
- @16Gigi16 That's a diplomatic answer. A few weeks are needed to beat players' resistance to change. After that, KC will come back in the form of Halloween LTE. No one mentions anything about a permanent return and few will care about that after getting used to the meta of World's Edge, which is an absolutely fine map.

@DoYaSeeMeBelieve me Kings Canyon will have more players than the new map. The balance is equal at this point 50% like the new map, 50% don't like it. But there is one detail - most of people who likes the new map are players who couldn't kill 2 people in Kings Canyon. But now - a new map, new places and these players kill 2-3-4 people and think they are pro's and this map is better, just because they can kill more players, but just give this map 1 month while everyone gets used to it and start
kill the noob players again and then a lot of people who like the new map will change their minds.- @OhhhBABYOhhh at this point Kings Canyon has more players than World's edge, for the simple reason that it was around for about 8 months, while the latter is just a week old. It doesn't make sense to compare them like that.
Also, noobs are the majority and include newcomers as well. It's essential to favor them, otherwise the game's playerbase will be reduced to only a few thousands of diehards in a year or two and Apex will be pronounced dead. - @DoYaSeeMe This is the main point. Noobs who couldn't kill 2 players in Kings Canyon, doing 2-3-4-5 kills right now and now the new one is 1000x better than old map 🙂 1 month later when everyone gets used to it, the opinion of these noobs will change and they will want Kings Canyon to return. But you know Apex is already on his way to be pronounced dead. If they make another mistake like S3 and drastic changes - good bye. The only thing that keeps them above water : There are still idiots who pay 7$ for apex packs and they will pay 8-9-10-11$ 🙂
Most good players I know have found the exact opposite of what you're describing. They all (to a man) are enjoying the change of pace and range to the game from the new map, despite having lower kill games than in KC. This is because more people you meet in the new map aren't already half dead or without armor when you come across them. I'd rather have a 5 kill game where the 5 I killed had decent guns and armor to fight me with than bang out a 20 kill game where 8 of the kills were guys without armor in skull town.
How are poorer players getting more kills in this map than in KC? Why does it matter?
- @Anlbrd Skull town has always been a hot spot & preferred destination for most players because of the easy kills, purple stuff and the adrenaline. I don't blame anyone for liking the new map more than Kings Canyon. I just want people to have a choice - for example : I prefer to Kings Canyon and now I don't play the game I like because it doesn't have my favorite map.
