Ping System and Arenas

Ping System Options:

The option to mute pings, but still be able to see the visual ping, pinged items, downed player revive information, and death boxes. The current mute option is actually a "disable option". Please give players the ability to simply "mute pings" while keeping the visual pings in place and add the current option to "disable pings" to the settings menu. Furthermore, it would be nice if players could choose which pings they would like to see (e.g. enemy pings, map pings, loot pings, etc.). I think these changes would be much better than disabling the ping system altogether. 

As it stands, when utilizing the current mute option players cannot see the visual ping, pinged items, downed player revive information, and death boxes. IMO, the current mute option is overreaching and should not effect the visual aspect of the game. This issue effects Crypto the most because when using the current mute option it is extremely difficult to retrieve respawn banners when the death boxes are not visible. Players should still be able to use the current disable option if they so desire. I think the ping system is great, but I prefer to use it (in it's current state) when I'm playing with a premade team. I solo queue a lot without a mic and my randoms ping excessively throughout the match. The ping sound (when used excessively or spammed) ruins the gaming experience for me. I have very sensitive hearing. I perform better when I can focus and make the best gameplay decision without teammate interference. It's the sound that bothers me the most, not the visual pings. Furthermore, most times my teammates are "panic pinging", and I perform best in this game when I'm relaxed. The most irritating ping spams is when my teammates are knocked and it prevents me from hearing the enemies audio cues (e.g. footsteps, sliding, healing, etc.). 

Arena Banner Stats:

IMO, Arena and BR Banner Stats should display according to the game mode the player is currently playing, (e.g., “Arena Kills” and “BR Kills” banner trackers).

As it stands, BR banner stats are displayed during the Arena team introduction screens. This makes Arenas feel secondary to BR. Arena players deserve to have their Legend Arena stats displayed instead. Also, players will have insight into how well their teammates have been doing in Arenas. In addition, it would be nice to have a Champion Squad displayed for Arenas. If both teams won their last match, then the Champion Squad should be chosen based on who had the best stats, similar to BR.

I’ve played a lot of multiplayer shooter games in my gaming past and Apex is by far the best multiplayer shooter I’ve played in this genre (with TF2 being my second favorite). Keep up the great work!!!😃

FYI – IMO, Arenas is the future of Apex esports. This mode is extremely fun to play and watch. Considering the number of leavers, having more players per team and default rounds would not be good for this mode. Players will appreciate how well developed this mode is as it evolves. Ranked Arenas and Arena LTMs will be a highlight for this game.
