Re: Will people who cheat really face penalties? I haven't seen it after all
What is the point of banning 100k. people, when they are back on the same hour with new acc? Isn`t that just a washing your hands and saying see we are doing something, while you obviously do nothing?
And from my experience you pretty much just ban the obvious hacker, that are going blatant with it. And what about all the people that are using soft hacks and are hiding it, as well as no-recoil macros and single fire, and so on ?!!
But the reality its pretty much the same on all FPS games, so this ain`t only a Apex problem, but a problem for the whole genre.
But you won`t see it fix in the foreseen future, and there is a lot of reason to it.
What Devs care is money(and this is normal, this ain`t a offense, but a normal thing), and banning so much people let say permanently they are losing player base and obviously money. And the guy will just move to another title and probably do the same. Also the cheater could be a 13 years old or so, and to change in the future and not cheat, which still hurt the player base This is pretty much what is it in their eyes.
Now they will always have a check, and not let the game be totally infested, cause then even the largest stubborn fanboys will move on.
But you should not expect a clean game, or close to it. I doubt there is any multiplayer/competitive/online FPS genre that is entirely free out of hacks, and have even 90% defense against cheaters.
My biggest problem is the people that abuse macros for no-recoil, cause this is big problem for a lot of BR titles.
And with all my hours on FPS genre, on Apex, on Kovaak and so i just need a little bit to tell who is controlling the recoil well, and who obviously has no recoil at all(or as most macros left just a bit of vertical, so if he has handcam to be like he is controlling it).
I mean guys like ShivFPS, Reps, Hakis and so on(just to name a few of the fair ones), are playing the game full day long from the release and you can clearly see the recoil kicks and how they controlling it(but there is still recoil), yet some newcomers streamers/youtubers somehow magically have none of that with the hardest guns from a big distances, and while doing flashy moves(which will hurt your recoil, as well as on chasing someone and trying to shot asap), while on the zipline(somehow no recoil), while airborne due to ability or so, with a scope for certain weapon that makes the kick really ridiculous, yet you see zero recoil, zero hand moving(if they have handcam, tho handcam prove nothing to be fair), and just a straight line.
