This isn't really an issue or a bug with S22 as it seems intended, but I wanted to point out that when you or your teammates respawn, all your teammates who are alive would just get their positions revealed like a Bloodhound or Crypto scan. It doesn't tell anyone they're being scanned or someone got scanned, but you can see a yellow glow through walls.
At first I thought this was a buff to recon legends, but it happens even when no one on the team was a recon legend.

I know it happens in revival when your ally dies. The killers, or team of last person who damaged them in case of ring death, sees the highlight.
While the thing says "ally killed" you are highlighted. You can see the highlight on yourself as well.
The highlight is only visible to your squad and your "killers" (even if they didn't do enough to kill and the ring got the target)
I don't know if its there in ranked or basic pubs.
Speaking of, I think they should get rid of basic trios, and bring back duos.
We already have ranked and revival, we don't need a third trios type. Plus ranked and basic are practically the same thing, save for the security systems in ranked that aren't in pubs. If those security systems bother people, obviously they should be banned. Only abandoneers have problems with it, and cheaters. Neither of which are permitted in Apex. It's against the ToS. Honestly I think those penalty systems should be implemented in all royale modes. Keep people from quitting while their team tries to rescue them. Such actions ruin the game for others and breaks ToS and I don't know why they permit it in pubs when it's against ToS.

It's a way to counter Off the Grid. When you kill his team mate, you can see where he is hiding and hunt him down, for a few second anyways.
If only it showed decoys as well. Poor Mirage.
