I think the problem is not that pro players ruin the game. But respawn sbmm is horrid and i would guess there also aren't enough consistent players to make even matches. Like if the preds were only allowed to get matched up with other preds or almost preds then their wait times would be hours long. Apex just doesnt have the player count to get more evenly balanced matches because they are competing with fortnite, warzone, and pubg for BR and not every gamer plays BR games too so if you split the already limited players among this many different titles, and you consider being platform restricted too, you're bound to have a hard time getting into evenly balanced matches every game.
