usefull and advanced movements/techniques

Hello friends,

do you have any advanced movement tipps or techniques you want to share? Would be very curious, what helps you most ingame.

I can start with some things, most of you already know.

Slingshot / Air Strafing with Pathfinder

It is no secret, that you do crazy things with Pathfinder's grapple.

When you already know about air strafe inputs, it is nothing new for you, but if not, try it.

I will not explain in detail but with the right strafing you can pas quite a long distance in seconds.

I started top play more and more with Pathfinder over the past weeks, so I am still learning, but so far, it is a lot of fun and the possibilities are intense.

Walljumps

Did you realize, walljumps are actually a thing? I did not, until I saw a current video about it.

It is not usefull in most situations, but you should be aware of at least what is possible with it.

You can pass much more longer distances by using it, or just confuse you oppenents if they are after you.

Jump Pad

With the right timing by pressing jump, you can pass about 30% more distance, then without I am sure, most of you already know.

But did you also know, that you can "jump pad" downed mates away from you? Just throw the jump pad on them or let them crawl on it to let them fly to a safer spot.

Was kind of funny after realizing, this was possible.

Do you have more techniques, you would like to share? Please comment.

  • @JjumpingJjack I love sliding after a jump from a jumppad, grapple throw, or from landing. Sliding just at the right moment negates the stagger you get and you can continue to move smoothly. Works best on any sort of hill.

Not sure if this would count but crouch spamming or whatever while in a gun fight increases your chances of winning it slightly if the enemy is a good player who only aims for the head.

If you can aim your zipline/jumps or even slides from high objects so that  when you hit the ground you JUST clip the edge of another ledge/object whilst sliding - it will project you forward and speed you back into a full slide.  Sliding off of the Repulsor wall for instance down the hill towards the watchtower, you can jump and crouch again just as your slide starts to slow and if you clip the road barriers or other low-ish objects just as you crouch in the air : you're treated as though you've restarted a fresh crouch slide from still and your speed increases.

    Most advanced movement technique?

Walking, or even crouching, when you're close to enemies. 😉
