Remove Deathboxes, Let Items Fall To The Ground After Death.

Remove Deathboxes, Let Items Fall To The Ground After Death.

1) It would help everyone to loot quicker, especially controller users.
2) It would allow for better access to areas where deathboxes can create issues like but not limited doors, hallways etc.

A: Crypto, Ash's abilities would have to be changed.
B: A small player token could be added to show a player's death card and/ or banner.

  • @Popa2caps Not really sure that I want people looting quicker. You want their stuff bad enough then you take the risk that you'll get caught. Seems straight forward enough to me.
  • @Popa2caps yes I like the idea, it's already how fortnite operates. I can't see how it would cause a problem as the loot it already there on the map, albeit in a box.

@hayhor I like the auto pickup too, if a spare slot, also in fortnite. A form of designated or auto sort would be handy too.

Now I can understand this point of view, I still don't agree with it. See, if everyone looted the same I wouldn't have made the discussion. Mouse & keyboard players can loot quite fast (if they use it), but controllers are locked behind something that just should have never excited.

In COD Warzone, Fortnite this deathbox mechanic doesn't exist, nor should it in Apex Legends. In my eyes, loot spawns on the ground and/ or big containers, it should fall back to the ground on death.

Here is the article that there is currently no priority to fix controllers from moving and looting. Understand I'm just trying to make the game succeed more than it has.

Things change over time, deathboxes are something I feel needs to be changed in Apex Legends.

True, auto-pick setting or something like what ammo that user is currently using or something.

@reconzero Dude, I want them to have to re-zero the rifle scope each time they swap guns or scopes.

I want them to have to take the time to go thru the backback trying to find their battery under 20 boxes of ammo.

I want them to have to be pickier about getting into gunfights in the first place cause healing should take MINUTES, not seconds.

In short, I want them to make changes to enforce this as a survival battle royale, not a hot drop deathmatch.

I want to have t-shirts made that say this and then send them to all Respawn employees.
  • I am not really a fan of this idea, but I wouldn't mind if they drop at least the ammo they had.

  • @Popa2caps  There would definitely be merits to this idea, quick looting and shield swaps etc.

I do share the same concerns as other players in terms of the clutter though as the only thing you'd be able to see if a group of players die in a confined area would be body shields.

Then you've got the issue of smaller items buried beneath other items, e.g a light mag sat beneath 3 stacks of ammo and a battery or whatever. If could potentially become more time consuming, especially if your own backpack is currently filled already.

  • @Popa2caps A copy of Fortnites horrible mechanics that just toss things in a semi big radius? It honestly sounds like this change needs to be made because some can not loot fast when in a box. Then you want legends to be reworked just to toss down tons of loot when someone dies? Ewww no.
