Is it just me or has this game really gone downhill?It seems every other match I am CONSTANTLY getting toxic teammates.More often than not it's the solo launcher who lands somewhere else, dies, and immediately quits. When I do get a decent team, they are almost always unexperienced, and we are going up against Preds and Masters. I've been playing long enough to notice there's a huge difference in gameplay, almost every match is super sweaty now. I love playing, but this game is starting to seem like you need to play it all day, every day, with a few friends in your party to remain competitive.

@Bladerunner78mh If they don't make changes to matchmaking, anti-cheat, & Ranked, it definitely will fade into obscurity. I'm maybe a season behind you in the process of leaving Apex.Respawn also doesn't do themselves any favors with me either by their lack of communication to the community & commitment to fixing the issues that are plaguing the game right now. Content drops & collection events are less than meaningful to me and even become offensive the more time goes without meaningful change being made to the things that really impact the player experience.

@Jlp0602 Basically you do have to olay it every day for hours a day to get consistently good and you need to have a solid group of friends to 3 stack with. Otherwise, @reconzero is right. You need to find something in the game to like while you're getting paired with randoms and smashed by cheaters/smurfs/3-stacks. Personally, I play for the games that feel normal and bail on bad situations quickly. Sometimes I'm in the mood to do it & sometimes I want to put my fist through my monitor. Just depends on the day TBH.

apex is dying.unfortunately, apex is on the decline. it's a shame that respawn keeps making the wrong decisions, setting the wrong focus and the game is slowly dying.this season has really accelerated the whole thing.it's nice that respawn thinks they can push the game for another 10 years, but i don't believe it. it's currently losing so many players and the cheater problem is getting worse and worse. no improvement in sight. constant server problems. and the ridiculous matchmaking and ranking system is the joke of the century. i've been playing from day 1 and have more than 8000 hours of playtime, i loved the game, but it's coming to an end. playing alone is hardly possible as i am put into lobbies that usually far exceed my skill and only in a group is there any fun. it is almost unbearable. i play less and less and the sessions are getting shorter and shorter. my plan after my BP is at 110 is to leave the game for now and if i find fun elsewhere maybe not come back. too bad respawn but you just don't have it in you to make such a great game a good gaming experience for everyone.

@Jlp0602How a four year old game can continuously attract new players is beyond me, and yet, like you, my squadmates are pretty consistently players with very few matches under their belt.And the high-skill three stacks have to play somebody since there are not enough of them to put them all in a single match in a timely fashion. Hence the roulette wheel of fps sbmm.If you solo queue then you pretty much have to make up your mind to find something in the game to occupy your attention other than hardcore competition.

Yeah, I think everyone has hit the nail on the head with describing the current state of this game. I think I will be taking a break, and playing another game for now until Apex gets it together.

@Jlp0602 I've been waiting for 4 years for Apex to "get it together". I think this is as "together" as it gets (and as it has been for the past 4 years).
I'd love to be completely wrong.

@Jlp0602 Game is trash in this state, rats, no option to uncheck crossplay, aim assist cheat, cronus, bunch of cheaters exc....
How in the name of god they cant make good viable anticheat, and how can somebody make 13222 accounts for smurfs.....

@III_Rx_Queen_IIII thought about cheaters a bit. I came to the conclusion that perhaps they are relying on the wrong anti cheat. That is EAC.
At the very least, EAC should NOT be the only tool used to fight cheaters. Perhaps having multiple tools, like Battle Eye, EAC, etc. etc. layered would lead to less cheating. Hard to tell from outside. One thing is sure though, they would need to put forward hard work to maintain multiple anti cheat engines.

Then there is the shame of macros. That would be a relatively quick fix that would remove a good deal of exploiting.
