anything above 60 fps is fine and overkill.
If it's under that your complaint / concern would be valid, if not you're nitpicking and should be patient for the fix.
I myself am using a i5-7600 with 16gb 3200 MHz ram and a GTX 1050ti and my fps is fine. I actually think the game runs much smoother now.

thats ridiculous, we are in 2019 not 2009 and it's time to consider all the people with 144/240 hz. Theres even all the benefit of having higher framerates than your refresh rate, due to drastically reduced input delay (better frametime), although diminishing returns for that occurs more quickly if you're only on 60hz

Yeah this game runs perfectly, right. Getting shot around corners with 30 ping is normal in an fps. Having 144 fps cap on an ocd 1080 and using half my cpu is not great. Games made 10 years ago literally run better but hey, you have 60 fps dude. Good stuff!! LMAO. I love having my fps capping to either 144 or if i force it uncapped it goes between 80 and 240 which is a huge difference. I get 400 fps when looking at a wall and people are dead so that example is loose. You know nothing about how important it is to have a tight delay between the moment you push a button and the time an action happens in a game that has kills from full hp under 2 seconds! I can play overwatch from Australia vs America and the network delay is BETTER!!! That's messed up! That's great that you have no stuttering, but compared to Overwatch and Fortnite, even TF2 or basically any game really, the input delay is insane.

I'll concede that 60 is more than enough for some games, but any FPS will definitely benefit from 144+. The difference between 60 and 144 is quite noticeable.

This is correct. 60 is fine for single player games, basically. There is a massive difference in performance and input lag in multiplayer games when you are at 144hz with the FPS to match, though. When I got a new PC last year and upgraded to a 32 inch 1440p 144hz monitor, it changed everything for me in Overwatch, things didn't look so blurry/fast and confusing anymore, I could actually track fast moving heroes like Tracer and Genji with relative ease, whereas previously on a 60hz monitor I really struggled to keep up.
Ask any pro gamer from Overwatch or CS:GO or whatever and they'll all swear by 144 or 240 monitors which high FPS. These guys will even run top line PCs that costs over 3,000 dollars and still run games on low graphics and lower resolutions so they can milk every possible performance increase out of the game. It makes that big of a difference for them.

Night and day difference with 60 to 144hz allows allows for players with mice that can do 1000hz to see a smoother result.
140 to 240 isn't as noticeable but I have played on both and you can tell when flicking your mouse how much smoother the flick is.
I have a 1080ti and still have everything disabled or low, to make sure I stay well above 144 fps. I have a 240hz, I would need a better CPU to keep it above 240 but running constantly at or above 144 is the goal for now. The almost $750 upgrade to get a better CPU is not worth the gain from 144 to 240.
I thought we were finally heading in the right direction when gamers stopped worrying about how beautiful a game looks like. It's about how it plays, drop your settings and play a FPS, this isn't a sims game.

I see this is a old post but Jesus man, how is anything over 60FPS overkill especially in a competitive type shooter like Apex?
