On the one hand I would agree, on the other hand if you read about the issue it is present in all games basically these days which indicates two major things:
- it is impossible to ensure 100% hack free game experience as hardware and software evolves daily, businesses are set up to evolve hacks as it makes so much money
- where there is something to gain -> many will do whatever it takes to gain it
Unfortunately what I see is that hardcore gamers are becoming major minority = players that have time and motivation to aimtrain, vod-review, try out new mechanics and tactics, are good in communication when playing team games.
Most players are just outright lazy. Add cross-play and controller input that in fast phase FPS games is/should be a disadvantage and you create a whole lot of people that complain about it and them not being able to "achieve high ELO/rank" = devs because of money stream have to adjust giving them basically aimbot which over time as Apex shows is not enough and people become lazy to pay attention = get wallhacks, movment scrips, lag introducers to create hit-reg issues etc.
We requires devs to do all the work yet take no responsibility as COMMUNITY:
- it has been posted (not only in Apex) that number of players actually reporting hackers is more like 5% of THE WHOLE players base -> people not only are unable (sorry dumb enough) to spot hackers but even more so again lazy to press those few clicks to report them
- many fanboys / girls follow streamers, pros that clearly are hacking just with addition of IQ vs you "regular dad who bought a XIM" and thus create false standards of server stomping, 4k / 20 bomb cult, not losing 1v1s etc.
If we as majority of the community would become more involved, not play with hackers, drop games if you get matched with one, report them all, unsubscribe from streamers and pros that can't be fully trusted, support regular "average" players (ones that actually be top dogs in fair game environment) who are just mechanically sound, can explain how they play the game, why they do things they do = teaching others how to play. Apex would be a much better place.
Instead Community is lazy, boost buying, profile buying, hacking cesspool of "gamers" + ones that just auto-pilot (for unknown reason) through games with clearly no motivation to become better aka your silent ranked players who are ok with winning but seem to be as ok with 20+ game losing streak.
