It could be anyone at this point that wrote the letter, we just don't know atm.

My theory though isn't too far fetched IMO. Its a little outside the box [or "dumb"], but still in the realm of possiblity.

I was just breaking down what Duplicitious meant, I didn't mean to insult your intelligence. I just broke it down for people that might not know or forgot what the word mean's.

Nahhh you’re theory isn’t far fetched nor ‘dumb’. Hope I didn’t make it seem that way. I was just stating my case why in my mind that wouldn’t add up. But I’m not the most knowledgable on legend’s backstories, their attitudes in general or the TF lore so anything’s possible. I’ve even seen a Hawaii Five-0 episode where a mother hired a hitman to kill her and making it look like an accident just so her kids could get the life insurance and inheritance without worrying just because their dad was a bad man.
And if you know hawaii five-0 you know that’s 40 minutes of tv time where they search for answers and when they found that she hired a hitman to kill herself they, as well as the victim/perpetrator’s children were perplexed to say the least.
After seeing that episode years ago, I really don’t see any idea or mention of something ‘out of the box’ XD.

Lolz I was being sincere about learning the word Duplicitous :P it might’ve seemed snarky or sarcastic but I actually enjoy learning new words and I’ve never heard that word before. Even if I watch a show and hear a word I pause it to research what it means :P months ago I even went so far as to download the dictionary app because every day you get a new ‘word of the day’ :P so I’ll thank you again and to make sure you know I actually meant it 😜

    The game is afoot my dear legend friends  its Wattson.

    I think Revenant will have easily worked out who the letter was written by and presume une amie, an innocent young lady wanting a level playing field. How many legends can write in english and speak french, or have the savvy to do so?

    But this is of course a devious deflection by a very astute young woman, whom I suspect has an alteriour motive due to the Syndicate's and probably Revenant's involvement in her father's death. (sounding familiar?) 

    Revenant won't see her coming until he is fried to a crisp in the corner surrounded by a quiet a few electric wires.

      @OldTreeCreeper Her father's death seems more like a natural one than a murder.
      Plus, the narrator used signature lines from a ton of characters. French just happens to be Wattson's signature thing, (also bad jokes).

      This is a copy from a thread I made the day S5 came out. It got buried underneath everything else, so I thought I'd share it here.

      First quest shown, it's the dialogue between Loba and other legends about the alternate NKC with spooky Revenant.

      First thing I noticed, it says that "11 of us were there". Not counting Revenant, there are 12 legends in the game. So who's missing? It isn't Loba, Pathfinder, Mirage, Wraith, Caustic, Bangalore, Crypto or Wattson, as they have actual dialogue there. Or maybe there was a counting error somewhere, or the narrator didn't consider Loba to be one of them or something.

      Then, who is the narrator? The narrator was fairly clever to use recognizable lines from multiple characters. 

      1. Wattson. Maybe, but there's not really any motive that I can see, plus it doesn't seem like her.
      2. Mirage. Maybe, but same thing as Wattson. No clear motive, and doesn't really mesh with his personality.
      3. Caustic. It's possible, it would work with his personality, but again, no clear motive. (Can we take a second to acknowledge that Loba doesn't know enough about him? She says he's "innocent", but from what we know, that's extremely false) 
      4. Pathfinder. Maybe, but  no motive and doesn't fit with what we know.
      5. Revenant. Highly unlikely, since this was apparently for Revenant, so it'd be strange.
      6. Crypto. Possible, works with personality, and even a possible motive. (He wants to get the legends to fight more so that everyone is distracted and he can dig further. Maybe.)
      7. Bangalore. No motive, and it doesn't fit with what we know, although Respawn hasn't fleshed her character out much. She does hate Loba though.
      8. Wraith. Could fit, but she doesn't really have a clear motive. 
      9. Gibby. Maybe, but no clear motive and doesn't mesh with what we know. 
      10. Octane. Somewhat unlikely, really wouldn't fit with what we know and no clear motive.
      11. Bloodhound. Maybe, but no clear motive. Could fit with what we know, but I doubt it.
      12. Lifeline. Wouldn't really work with what we know, and no clear motive.
      13. Loba. Unlikely, but maybe the motive is similar to Crypto's possible motive.

      I think that's everyone. Also, see how there's 13 legends? Subtract Revenant, you still have 12. Kind of odd.
