Yes and no. Sure her teleport seems to be exactly the same, and I think they are both Latin American. But then Loba's Ultimate seems to be much different than Sombra's hacks...like some kind of instant store?
- @ArchAngeL-PCX Yeah the ult is different, but the rest is pretty much identical.
Was curious about that too.
Is it like a lifeline package?? You don't have ingame currency to trade. Do you trade items of equal levels? I dunno.
Not sure how keen I'll be on her ult.
I hope she has a wicked passive to couple with the "translocator" - as it's also known in Overwatch. You cannot expect everything to be unique if there are so many games out there.
Yha she looks Sombra based but still would feel and play different, i don't think Respawn is going really hype up something that could backfire, all devs are hyping everyone up on twitter so Season 5 must be huge. 🤔- DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@1ronKeys Look at music, There are only so many sounds and so many ways you can arrange them.
I think Apex is fairly unique and I think there is a lot of creativity. - I mean, the only copy really is the fact she can throw something and teleport. They aren't even remotely close to the same decade.....
Wait... Overwatch and Titanfall universe connected confirmed?? Listen I'm well aware about ideas of creativity and ideas etc.
But when you make a character that has an identical key ability to annother, and then make that character aesthetically similar to the other. It becomes a bit more than just a case of limited ideas.
Loba easily could have been swedish, not human, male, a number of factors to create distance from the near identical idea.
If undeliberate could also border on subconscious plagiarism.*
*this is an enforceable idea that although you may not have deliebrately copied something, you've potentially seen/heard it before amd inadvertently copied it.
Like i said I'm not hating - i loved Sombra and equally think Loba seems mega cool. Justbit of a joke/observation.
The are both females with darker skin, that's about as far as their similarities go?

Both female of "latin*" heritage that have an identically unique tactical ability.
You're right, no similarity at all.
I'm gonna invent a superfast blue hedgehog but instead of spinning he throws spikes. Definitely has no similarity to any existing character.
*(whatever terminology is correct)

Right, because having two similarities definitely makes things pretty much identical?
- @1ronKeys WoW! I never played Overwatch, but I just checked Sombra's introduction on YouTube and they are kinda similar; both orphan as a kid, both learn themselves to do nasty jobs until they grow up, both can teleport, both good looking girls... Though I think the similarities might not be intentional since they come up with story ideas and designs as a team...
Here is Sombra's introduction if you are like me and never heard of her:
