Change my mind: All players should win and lose at the same ratios

I have been so focused on being anti-strong SBMM, that maybe I have insulated myself from what’s really best for the community.

So please, change my mind:

“Players should always play their equals and everyone should hover around the same win ratios. Skill should NOT determine who wins more in non-ranked matches. Every match should elicit the same effort from the player, regardless of their skill level. Everyone DESERVES to win, and for the most part, everyone should win at the same rate (by virtue of playing their equal).”

@Axs5626Sxa5001 Stating an opinion that is actually the opposite of what you really think and seeing how people react to it isn't designed to prompt a rational discussion, sorry.

@LaughingSharko The OP is right. He has posted about this subject many times. I dont think he was baiting the post at all but believe he is trying to understand the other side better.
  • @hayhor This subject always has the exact same conclusion. The OP already knows all the arguments. He knows the pros and *. He simply wants to, as they say, "kick a dead horse" again.

A reasonable discussion is when one person goes into it actually willing to consider other possibilities. Starting your post off by sarcastically mocking the other side's arguments isn't conducive to any reasonable discussion.

Let me give you an example:

"Women totally don't exaggerate. They don't overreact ever. They don't get hormonal and yell and scream like crazy people. They deserve to be elected president." Prove me wrong.

What kind of discussion do you think would follow that post? An emotional response or a logical one?

@Axs5626Sxa5001 I never understood you or your posts. You claim you're a pred/master player and get squashed in pubs even though you 3 stack with your friends who are master/pred.

Well guess what, I'm a master player myself and I pubstomp and absolutely destroy pub lobbies when I three stack with master/preds. I don't see what's your problem.

If you can't win in pubs you should get better at the game.

@Axs5626Sxa5001 I kind of see your point but the argument is deeply flawed.  Different people play different ways.

If you are serious about winning you'll drop somewhere quiet, stick to edge of ring and try to survive as long as you can.  If you are someone who likes to hot drop and get stuck into the action ASAP and constantly looks for fights - all things being equal - you will probably win fewer games.

I like to mix it up but hot dropping has it's advantages.  There is nothing worse than tooling about, kitting yourself out with amazing gear just to get lasered by some aimbot bozo from 200 yards with a flatline.  Good honest fight out of the gate seems more fun but guess it depends what you are after.
