Did Mastiff Get Nerfed?

@KelRiever Shotguns are weapons that don't suffer from the usual disadvantages hip fire has. You keep full mobility while having a weapon in your hand that keeps the same accuracy, with no drawbacks whatsoever. Weapons that seemingly have decent hip fire and aren't shotguns get nerfed, like the Hemlok.
If Shotguns - just like other weapons - would suffer some kind of disadvantage when not scoped, we would solve almost all problems with "Hey, this particular shotgun is OP!"

It’s not personal and tender feelings are why this conversation can’t even be had. The guns in this game need all to do more damage not less. Instead of nerfing the Mastiff, about 5 other guns minimum need to be buffed.
The whining will not end on weapons until they all do zero damage. Because until then, someone will die from something in game and bawl that it was OP and not them getting taken out by someone else better than them.
- @KelRiever I don't think you are understanding (or you don't want to understand) why people are complaining about the weapons when they do. And just because we are complaining about a Mastiff doesn't mean we don't want to see a buff to the weaker weapons.
And now that I think back to it, I have never heard anybody complaining about the R-301 Carbine or the VK-47 Flatline being too strong or too weak. So artificially speaking they're one of the most balanced weapons in the game. Meanwhile, people come forth... "Shotguns are overpowered" or "the Volt SMG is overpowered" or a while back the R-99 being too powerful. It all kinda adds up if you ask me. And it's strangely those types of weapons I see the most.If you doubled the damage of every weapon in this game you’d find out who plays best and who makes excuses about lag and FPS and every excuse for bad play under the sun.

- @KelRiever feel the same way, at the end we will fist one another, till someone whines about 30 dmg per hit and so on...
Again for those who like low damage, you keep making some excuse that if you get shot and killed it must have been luck or sometimes someone with lower skill than you got lucky.
Think about that for a moment and tell me that doesn’t sound like whining or making an excuse. You got killed always because someone outplayed you and was better than you
The issue here is the game loses its fun when it keeps catering to whining and excuse making. You can see a long litany of complaints about the decline in the quality of the game. Maybe it’s because Respawn has to keep trying to placate thin skinned players who, rest assured, are ready to moan about the next weapon that kills them. Which one is it going to be now?
If you get shot one time and die, or 20 times, you weren’t the better player. Deal with it. The Mastiff was fine, it assuredly was the player who got killed by it that was the problem.
- @KelRiever Thousands of people who complain about this gun itself. Pro players. Big name streamers. But hey i guess we are all wrong and your right. When you have some the top players in the world say something about this gun then you know it needs looked at. I guess the newer players are better then the best in the world. Who knew.
