Did the way loot gets spawned change?

It used to be a pretty good mix of loot when dropping in high tier zones.

Ever since the patch there are so many places that spawn 4 lvl1 body armors and a shield cell, or 3 lvl1 helms and a thermite.

I have noticed over the last few days that the overwhelming amount of loot is just junk and fights are just boiled down to who can punch (jankiest melee ever btw) better until the mid game.

Anyone else notice this? or is my luck just so bad I spend more time queue'ing and punching than actually playing?

    I believe the starter loot is intended to be at the lower end of the loot tier spectrum to encourage the kinds of scrappy fights you tend to get when you first land after launching.

    What kind of loot would you prefer to see and what improvements would you like to see to the melee system?

  • The only loot spawn rates that changed that I'm aware of is that wingman and peace keeper spawn rates went down while energy ammo weapons went up. Haven't heard about anything changing as far as gear though.

    Unless it was a silent patch then no. All the loot has remained the same but do remember even landing in high tier loot locations that loot is all % based.

    The higher tier loot areas just have a higher % chance to spawn higher tier items but not guaranteed. So sometimes you might just run into a whole bunch of common items with some rare's scattered around and get no purps. Other times you might get everything you need for early/mid even late game. It's all just numbers like most BR games.

    Obviously you'd still want to hit high tier loot spots for the best odds but it's never going to be a for sure thing.

    That's pretty much true, Iv'e landed in high tier loot and found trash

    and landed at low tier loot and found a gold shield...(then crashed)

    So yeah, it's really just base on percent chance.
