@Miss_Apex_B4_s20 Actual cheats are not easy to detect. Lets get that info out the way. No game and I mean no game at all can prevent cheaters. Nor has a game ever accomplished it.
I think you may be mistaken on what is going on here. This new update is for software/hardware not allowed to be used. Such as Xims, Cronus, Crosshair X, and many more other programs that offer cheat abilities. Aka cheat ability would be bypassing a games mechanic to remove recoil and or add aim assist to mouse and key.
The detection systems are always out for actual cheaters but cheat creators are very smart and do find ways around current blockings. This was to help with third party devices.

@CCbathwater What all can be detected is still unknown. There are a few people have stepped forward claiming its blocked. When I had mentioned those devices it was more of an explanation on what this update may be looking for. As of now what is known to be blocked thus far is....

Im sure the list will go on as more honest people who use these step forward stating they no longer work. Which I can understand them not saying what all has been blocked to keep the detections more secret. One can only hope for Xim, Cronus as well.- @E9ine_AC Sounds exotic. Never heard of it before.

@E9ine_ACI don't think anything is blocked yet. The cheating has actually gotten much worse since this was announced. Tonight pc was near unplayable, every player downed me in one hit in a gun run tonight, some didn't even bother to ads, with hipfire they did a perfect headshot with rapid fire and aimbot from a distance. It would be nice if we had a date set that this was going to take effect.
Switch version isn't quite as bad, but I did see 4 or 5 people that looked fishy to me in mixtape. I only reported the pc ones though.Edit to add: I think they are all trying to get all the use they can out of their boxes before this update comes out. That probably explains the increase in cheating the last few nights, lol.

Banning driversoftware like razer ghub etc doesn’t do anything since the macros get safed on the device.- @BallisticMVP Yes, that's why I don't think this update is up yet, but the announcement got all the people that use it to go on at the same time. I've never seen lobbies like the ones I saw in the game last night.
I'm wondering if maybe the real answer, if there's no way to detect this stuff, is to measure the timing of kills. For instance, the Flatliner should kill someone at a certain distance in a specific amount of time, if the gun empties out in a rapid fire fashion to kill instantly then this should flag the player for review. Maybe same could be done with recoil, a gun should move a certain way when fired even if the player is very good at managing recoil. If gun has no recoil then flag the player for review. I'm not sure if this is even possible with the technology they have, but it would cut down on the amount of work necessary to bust cheaters using these hacks.
