Getting underskilled teammates/harrassers + unexpected shutdown.

First of all. I am diamond 3 on and off. All my teammates are silver, gold, plat. Occasionally diamond. How come? Also. If my game crashes, and I don't get a crash report. What then? Did someon...

Because you solo queue. Be assured, if you started stacking with two other diamonds then you would get an entire lobby of predators for 70% of your matches. It's just how the game works.

"If my game crashes, and I don't get a crash report. What then? Did someone cause it?"

That's tougher to say. My ISP is a train wreck, and while my games often cough and sputter throughout the match, the black screen disconnects only seem to happen when I get to the final three or four. Is it a nefarious player? Is it my ISP monitoring the match and killing me at a crucial moment so I'll call them up and offer to pay double for a better connection? Is it just a butterfly in the amazon? No one will ever know.

    Well I get the stuttering. It's probably demanding to run big maps and lots of people over 1000's pf games. But then to apply crash reports and they don't show up. It tells me something fishy happened. You don't have to answer the question if you don't know btw.

      Facts? No single player in this game has any large-scale pool of facts to draw on, only their own personal experience, and possibly a sense of larger patterns that you get if you frequent the forums or reddit. Although in either of those places you're likely only to get a sense of discontent as so very few people ever bother to paper the internet with happiness or praise.

      In the mean time, if you have a better theory to explain your experience then put it out there. Your experience isn't unique to you and the rest of us who share it would love to hear if there is some force at work other than a matchmaking algorithm that "balances" matches by putting high- and low-skilled solo players on the same team.

      Pretty sure the only person on earth who "knows" is a coder in the bowels of Respawn Entertainment Inc. So why not aimlessly speculate?

        @reconzero My solo queue experience is consistent with what @Half-Injured is saying, although I play pubs and not ranked.

        I get teammates worse than me and put up against enemies better than me ALL THE TIME. The matchmaking takes forever to drop you down a lobby when you are getting murdered and immediately bumps you up a lobby when you do relatively well.

        Has been this way since I started playing season 8 but has gotten really bad the last 3 seasons or so.
