Help with accidental apex coin purchase

I recently have accidentally purchased 1,000 apex coins on my Xbox account. I panicked and sent a refund request through Microsoft and luckily it was refunded but the apex coins weren't deducted from my account and are still there. I would just like to know if this is anything that my account can be penalized for?

If the coins weren't spent I don't think you'll have any issues. If anything does come up you'll get an email from the Terms of Service team with more details.

  • @Jordan2jaden That's a good question. I know chargebacks from your credit card company/PayPal will get you banned, but I don't what happens when you request an official refund via Microsoft. Here's hoping not.
  • @Jordan2jadenSo, possible bad news...

The Terms of Service specifically states that in-game currency you purchase is non-refundable. That means that by requesting a refund from Microsoft, you broke the TOS.

I'm guessing it hasn't gone through on EA's end yet. When it does, you'll likely be banned.

On the other hand, Microsoft's Terms state that you can get a refund if you haven't used the in-game currency. So, it's possible that their end of the partnership gives them the freedom to offer refunds to their customers.

I would see if an EA advisor has any advice before it's too late, such as @EA_Kent or @EA_David .
