How can I add my friend from PlayStation??

I’m trying to gift my friend a skin on apex but I can’t add him as a friend from my PlayStation? I’m on mobile so I can’t download “EA app” is there a mobile version like the PS app?
it just seems like a major inconvenience to have to access PC to add someone I’m already friends with on Apex and on PS

To confirm there is not a mobile version of the EA app PC client.&nbsp;

However, you should be able to search for EA friends in Apex Legends. Do they not come up or do you get an error when searching for them?
