Map rotation is stormpoint and olympus, the two worst maps in the game. Flatline and volt are no longer floor loot, these are my favourite weapons! And caustic is getting yet another nerf!!Not looking forward to season 12 at all!

@Marge010 My favorite map is WE but only playing that and SP for a whole season got too boring quickly. Even though I don’t like KC, I still prefer it being there than not for variety.As for the the flatty and volt, yes we all love these guns but I like the shake up so we would play differently or everyone just uses an R301. Lol.As for the Caustic nerf, I hate that Respawn hates defensive legends so much. The new legends are almost carbon copies of each other having a scan ability, a mobility ability and one thing that makes them unique. They might be running out of ideas. According to rumors, this won’t change even on S13.

@Cheese9Man definitely need more than 2 maps in the rotation especially if we're keeping storm point. Hate that map

@Marge010 I have to admit, I'm having some mixed feelings as well.I will say that control does look fun, but even if I really enjoy it, that's only the first 3 weeks of the season. Hard to know how I'll feel about the rest, especially because I'm not too keen on the "craft only" weapons idea (I didn't like it the first time we gave it a go either). Also, while I do look forward to new legends, I feel that Maggie's presence (and Caustic's nerf) may have too large of a negative effect on Defensive legends and the game as a whole. Don't get me wrong, I like to play a bit of everyone and I don't like anything being insanely OP, but the Devs do seem to be leaning into Mobility and Scans pretty heavily. Which leaves anyone without those things (or a way to counter them) out in the cold to rot. And I can't say i find that particular fair or fun.As for everything else:It's a shame there's no new gun. I like when there's new guns in the game. Now, I will say I understand the Volt going into the CP. As much as i like my Energy weapons, I get why things rotate in and out of the CP, it keeps things fresh, whch is good. I will say I'm bummed about WE though. Yes, it is my least favorite map, but i know what it feels like to not play on your favorite one (I didn't get to touch KC this entire season and it sucks), so therefore, I wouldn't want anyone to feel as i do. I wish we could have all maps for the whole season in Pubs. It's just nice having that (imo). Lastly, i will say i feel the BH skin is a bad idea. It's insanely expensive for what it is (a skin you won't even see most of the time) and it's ridiculous that not only do you pay a crazy price for it, you have to grind out 130K damage to get all the tiers (it's like a really bad and expensive BP).So, yeah, i think that pretty much sums up my early/pre-release thoughts on S12. A bit of excitement, a bit of irritation, a bit of disgust, and a dash of dread. I can't wait...

@JonStriker126 Streamers add a lot of new players. Streamers like mobility and scans. It's never been about balancing for us peons. Only cater to streamers and make bank.

@LetMeVsBotsYeah, i know. Overwatch pulled the same garbage. If you're not GM/Pred, a Pro player, and/or a big streamer, they don't care. They might throw you a small bone, here or there, to try and might it look like they care, but that's about it.

I already hate season 12 before it has even started!

@Marge010 My hopes are quite low as well. Stormpoint and Olympus are the maps I like the least. A few seasons ago I mained Caustic, but now he is too nerfed. He really don't need another nerf.

But maybe they've been listening to the community feedback and improved on the maps? Lets hope so.
I will at least give it a chance.

They have also made olympus bigger. The problem is too many players are complaining about 3rd parties so the solution to this according to the devs is to make bigger maps!
For me this doesn't work at all. I think it is much more fun having smaller maps and I enjoy 3rd parties. It's boring just running around for ages not finding any other players and next thing you know it's the last 2 squads!

The only way to really stop 3rd parties like loads of players are moaning about is when 2 squads fight, other squads can't join in until 1 squad has won, looted and healed up and then the next squad can fight. This would make the game seriously boring!!

3rd parties are part of the game and what makes it fun. STOP MAKING MAPS BIGGER!!

@Marge010 KC is also in the pubs rotation and is the ranked map for split two. Olympus has not just been made bigger. They've completely changed areas such as chokes to make for better rotations so getting around the map should be better. Plus they added cover. The pictures look really good.

Flatline change to a crafter I hate. Volt is disappointing but at some point it was going to happen. And Caustic is also disappointing but I stopped playing him.

@Cro_PitttI used to love this game but it has gone down hill for me so it's not as much fun anymore. I was hoping season 12 would be an improvement but it looks like the down hill spiral will continue for some time.

I'm struggling to find other games I like at the moment otherwise I would have stopped playing apex months ago!

@Marge010 Well then my suggestion is to greatly lower you expectations for this game so you won't be that disappointed anymore. Expect the worst every time so maybe you could even feel relieved sometimes. You know Respawn and we all learned how they treat Apex, and unfortunately that won't change in the near future.
I don't know what kind of games you like but this month and March are full of games coming out so make sure to check them 😉.

I got both Guild Wars 2 expansion AND Destiny 2 expansion this month.
My Apex play will be super casual, if at all. Be lucky to get to whatever free skin is at the 45 rank this season.
