I must have offended the allfather....

Why have I, with a .79 k/d, been placed in a lobby, in pubs, where preds 3 stack?

Either matchmaking is completely bonkers, or devs are doing this on purpose --matching extremely good players with extremely bad players...

I would really appreciate to learn why this happens, and why it is supposed to be fun for me?

I cannot compete with them. Not today, not ever.

If the game is supposed to be fun, I am convinced that this issue needs to be addressed.

  • Good players wouldn't be an issue if the game would work be a bit differently. Because as someone who has probably played every shooter on the market at least once (hyperbolic, before any literal person says that's not true), Apex Legends remains the enigma of shooters where your skill that you obtained in previous games doesn't count a single bit. I mean not even in Titanfall 2 I had issues with hitting, and that's coming from the same franchise.

SBMM is broken beyond repair. Whether it's there or not, it doesn't make a difference. I'm either paired with massively better people, or just straight up newbies. People with an equal skill that could make a fight interesting? Very rare. But I have to admit that those fights against people who have pinpoint accuracy during strafing over 100 meter distance... Yeah... They're hilarious. Because it goes to show the massive skill gap. A lack of commonly found mechanics that usually balance out these things make the game inherently more difficult to play.

It would be fine if that would happen occasionally. But at peak hours? No excuses for this to happen. And it keeps happening every other game or so.
Sure, skill gap is there. But what good does that do to a low skill player? I know I am not too good, or any good at all... what is the point of fighting a battle without hope? How is this supposed to be enjoyable... if I really want to see the above players play, I can watch them on stream.
  • @Vdstrk It's probably not fun for a few skilled players either. If your enemies are too easy to kill, you might as well activate the dummies in firing range and kill them. That has the same effect for some.

A part of me is wondering though how no one else seems to notice that... You know, the fact that Apex Legends diminishes all previously attained skill from other games. Because a few people I have specifically asked that never considered that until I told them.

100% agree, it must be very plain for them to play against players like me, but then again why 3 stacking in pubs? Those are ALGS finals caliber players....
  • @Vdstrk Were you in a premade squad? If so, what are the top players numbers like? Win% KD top ranked achieved?
  • @Vdstrk A lot of people play pubs with friends, nothing wrong with that. Just because I play solo, doesn't mean it's wrong to play with a pre-made.

One is a Pred, other two are just lvl 500s(no indication as to if they have ever reached Pred). ALGS finals caliber lol.

    @hayhor

No I wasn't in a premade. not sure about my team mates, but from what one of them was saying he was not too happy with it -the other never said a word, so most likely they were not even a duo. My win ratio this season is very low 1.61%. Since I do not know the other 2 players I have no way of knowing anything about their stats.

Neither my team mates were pred for sure, and neither were level 500. One, if memory serves, was around level 300, the other 100+.

But I can be wrong. I am level  430. But level means little.

We landed a seemingly peaceful estate. We had a fight with another team there and managed to win it, then the team I mentioned above rolled up on us with a trident.

My 2 team mates were eliminated, I was the last one alive, but for little as I got rushed by the 3 or them.

The reason I know these players, and that they are in a premade, and who they are is because when you spectate after being killed you see their actual in game name, on the bottom left.

Were they not known players, I would just plainly thought, "uh... matchmaking must be doing it again", and I would have never bothered making a post about it. Sure it is the same thing, but because of who they are... it makes it so much more clear that matchmaking is rigged IMO.

Sorry but I'm not gonna post their names. Did you recognize their names by any chance? Just because they did not display their pred badges does not mean they are not preds.
My point isn't about pre mades at all.
My point is that matchmaking is placing players with a k/d way >1 in lobbies with player with a k/d <1.
This kills the fun for everyone. Good players will find it boring. Bad players will find it frustrating.
Another lose lose matchmaking strategy I guess.

And it happens again, and again,

  • i think staff not are interested to solve this problem, are focused on create good cosmetics for sell sell sell sell sell, important is credit card transiction.....are many month this game have matchmaking problem.......
