So I'm lagging a lot and want to change where I live by using a vpn so I'm not lagging. I'm on origin and just dont want to be banned because I was ban evading or something.
It's perfectly fine to use 🙂
I even recommend using VPN's to reduce server lag.

I can't see a problem with using a VPN (game permission wise).
I'm not sure *why* you would want to. As observed above you can change your server from within the game itself.
Using a VPN, by definition, will increase your ping as all your traffic is being routed through a 3rd party server now. I can't see how that would help.

I think VPNs are generally not detected as cheats but we have posts here of Chinese players getting banned because of some 3rd party software that allows them to play outside of China. It’s either they’re really cheating or their “VPN” is detected as cheat software.

a VPN will route your connection differently and more efficiently than some ISP's can.
That improves connection stability and even lowers ping sometimes!
