I've stopped showing badges due to abusive messages

I've been playing this game since season 2 which most will know is a very long time to be playing the same game. I'm still not very good at this game but I still enjoy it most of the time.

I play caustic a lot and have over 11k kills but I've only ever had 3k damage once so this was the badge I had.

The amount of people that message me giving me abuse because I haven't got the 4k badge is crazy!! Not having 4k damage doesn't bother me but it seems to bother a lot of other people which is wierd??

@Marge010 I use nessy badges. When I used regular badges I never got hate tho. I'd report those people.

@Marge010I pick badges based on the color of the current of my banner frame.

Let them message you, report them, then watch them cry in this website for an “unfair” ban. Don’t have a 4k badge either and only have 5 3k badges. Closest I’ve had was with Octane with 3.8k damage playing solo. I don’t play apex solo anymore so I’ll never get a 4k badge naturally anymore.

Are these people who have 4k badges, or people who have 100 kills and no wins on their main? Either way sucks, but I've often found mean-spiritedness is usually motivated by jealousy. Report. Ignore. Tell them you're on your smurf account. Tell them your dog ate it.

Interesting.
I'd have thought you would get extremist hate from posting a BLM, LGBTQ or Stop Asian Hate badge.
As someone not on mic, I don't find people usually need a badge to act atrocious, so I mute people out as it is.
Sorry you had to go through that nonsense. Post your worst stat results if you want to troll, but otherwise, mute is a beautiful thing.

@Marge010 I'm a Day 1 player with only a 2k Damage Badge, I select my badges based on what Banner I'm using.

I like to match badges with what skin I'm using, & I like my banner to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

The only time I use my 2k badge or 5kill game badge is when I'm playing ranked just so people have a vague idea of my skill level.

Every time I see a player with NO badges or trackers, I assume they must be hiding something like Cheating or Smurfing.

@Marge010 I have to say that's probably the dumbest reason I've ever heard to message someone. Wth is wrong with people lol?

My badges vary but are usually the highest achievement I've made with that legend or just something that's aesthetically pleasing to me. Or with new legends something random. I've not once gotten any response for badges, but have gotten hate for picking certain Legends before. Or I pick a Legend & people assume I'll act a certain way.

@Marge010 I got to the point of not showing many important stats or badges on my legends. They create massive expectations where they expect that carry because we have high stats. Die on drop? I am called trash wondering how I got the stats I have when I die like that. As if the RNG gods have not blessed them before with only attachments.

@Marge010 I only use the kill tracker, and the black hole badge from the Horizon event. Kill tracker is strictly so I can keep track of where I'm at on kills, without having to go into the tracker list. Definitely never gotten hate for my non-4k badges though. That's absurd!! Like others have said though, I'd just report and carry on my way
