Seriously should be worth a lot more , I just got 11 kills 2 assists in plat lobby but came 8th so only got +34 points . Was such a long match with 8 squads still alive in round 4 and I did really well considering we were a man down from the start , and all I get is a measly 34 points lmao .

Yeah a lot of people (including me) have been asking this for ages. During a game you kill multiple teams that just come in 3rd partying you, manage to get more than 5 points but then you die later in the game. If you're in higher tiers that won't even be enough to not lose points. I think a maximum of points should be there because otherwise the endgame would be probably dead, but raising it to 10 maybe would be enough to make it more balanced.

@MassiveVernonThe entire RP/KP system is horrible. It does not work. There are tons of people in platinum who do not belong there. They camped their way up to it.I can give endless examples of it. Teammates dropping to locations 750m out, when they could/should be dropping there at 400m out. Teammates who drop to trials.. I do not know a single top ranked squad who drop to trials. You have no cells, batteries or attachments for your guns when you leave.Teammates who run at the first sign of a fight. Teammates who play LL but don't revive mid fight.. I mean the list is endless..They need to eliminate placement RP and replace it with a KP multiplier. Yes I understand the object is to win the match. But being able to drop at the right time, being able to kill people, being able to win the fights you can't avoid is part of the game and huge part of it.Then there is the broken Kill and Assist system... I can't tell you how many times I have downed 2 teammates from an enemy squad only for the LL to come revive them mid fight. My teammates one shot the people I've downed after the revive is done. I get no assist or anything. It's so broken... At the very least they need to stop giving people RP because one teammate survived and ran off. If they get eliminated and are not respawned back into the game, then their RP should reflect the point at which they got eliminated. Not where their teammates placed.

@DarthValtrex Also it isnt a person's fault if their deathbed expires. Some people wont even try for the box. So I'm not necessarily for placement at that exact time. It seems odd people get placement points when they have been dead for 10 minutes but again how is it their fault their teammate didnt get their banner? The game doesnt know circumstances. It is too complex.I'm all for a boost to kill points but what really needs to happen is disabling tier demotion. Because players that get to play 4 cant go back they keep playing their dumb ways.We also need this split and season reset stuff to be limited. Preds shouldnt be able to sit out 3 splits and be bronze. Platinum is the lowest they should drop.

@KelRiever I get your point about it being survival and not just about kills. How ever the way ranked is set up now.. You often have 6+ squads in the final ring. Often times half of which are solos who ran off when their teammates died.I think the RP system needs an overhaul to deal with the people who camp their way up into platinum. There are so many who don't belong there, the first fight they get into they get downed instantly. It's so bad now that you can not solo queue in ranked after Gold. I've been trying to, I'll get 2-3 wins in a row. Then I get a string of 10 teammates who just don't belong in platinum.

@MassiveVernon It would likely make the top lobbies even harder and increase queue times. But you would be able to solo queue through it.. You would have nothing but good players in the lobbies so it would definitely make things harder.I just think the RP system can be improved. Things that could be changed..1. If you get eliminated and your banner expires than the RP you get is for the placement achieved when the banner expires.2. The LL revive drone should not be stealing kills and assists. At the very least the assist timer should reset when the LL drone starts, so that the player who initially downed the enemy has 5 seconds after the drone revive to get the assist.3. increase the KP you can get. Possibly doubling it.4. reduce the Placement RP maybe increase the placement RP for a top 2 finish. So the solo campers are not getting positive RP for placement alone.You can still play passively...

I don't know. It would help certain people grind through lower ranks faster, that's a plus. It also, to me, encourages the demented view that the game is only about killing. If you want a game about only killing, then Call of Duty is your game Apex requires strategy and thirsting in hot zones is so detrimental to the game, to me, that you're rewarding the wrong thing.
I'd up the kill cap for all ranks lower than the one you got the season prior. So if you are plat, you get up to 10 kill cap from bronze -gold

@MassiveVernonI agree the cap is too low but I also see getting massive points for finishing 9th in a BR where winning is the goal a bit silly too. I'd make it where there was a moving cap as placement got better.

@hayhorI agree that placement is obviously A big factor and 8th isn’t exactly a great position to finish but I think it’s stupid that if I did absolutely nothing all game but hide and came 3rd with 1kill , I’d still get more points than 9th with 11 kills 2 assists .

I mean 11 kills is a reasonably high number for a plat lobby - and yes granted kills aren’t everything in a br , but I’m absolutely certain that the latter shows a higher skill value than the former and therefore should equal more points . As @Cro_Pittt said , there has to be a cap otherwise endgame ranks would be a mess but surely there’s room for compromise here so yeah maybe a moving cap , a higher cap or Just a slightly higher point value for kills

@MassiveVernon Yep, ranked needs a lot of changes to be better. Currently it's not that lucrative for grinding. Tier demotion protection, splits etc needs to be removed.

@BaldWraithSimp I dunno about getting rid of tier demotion protection. I know I'll rage more if I JUST made it into diamond or even Plat only to hot drop and immediately die.
Teammate hot drops while I have demotion protection "ah annoying but whatever."
Teammate hot dropping with demotion protection and I'm venting.
Multiple games where teammates stupidly push fights while I repeatedly ping "I need ammo" and there'll be a few more holes in my wall.

@Zamaha400 If you can't handle fights in Plat or diamond you deserve to go down. I am tired of getting matched with Plat IV who are so useless, you would understand if you were solo queue player.

@MassiveVernon hackers land in dense areas and rack up kills then die and repeat. if anything to scare hackers there should be no points for kills unless you win then it will only be hacker vs hacker and the rest of us will all be the same rank which will increase the sbmm.
