@Pluhgins He is not OP by any measure. For starters, you can avoid his gas most of the time. You can also avoid his gas grenade. The nade beeps when it goes off, so just pull back when you hear it.
If you’re camping a building and get gassed to death, that is on you. You either shouldn’t be camping or were losing the fight to begin with and were forced in there.
There are only a few instances in which his gas can be hugely beneficial. The rest of the time he is weak due to his larger hit box.
You also have to keep in mind his gas negatively impacts his own teammates. They can’t see, so if the enemy team has a caustic and your caustic is down, your team is at a slight disadvantage.
Bang is not OP either. Her smoke can be used against the team that popped it. You can also see through it with a blood hound or a digital threat. The other option is to hang back from it slightly and look for the enemy team in the smoke.. you can see them but they can’t see you. I got a squad wipe against a bang solo with nothing but a flatline and alternator. They killed my squad mate, i jump down finish off the bang with the flatline.. run out of ammo grab the alternator.. smoke is partially in the room. I hang on the edge of it. The bloodhound comes in, he can’t see me but I can see his outline.. he is dead.. the octane comes in and I’m at half life. I do the same to the octane using their bangs smoke against them.
Bangs barrage can be avoided as well. You are warned when it’s coming, so you either take cover or run. Even if you can’t avoid it, the most damage I’ve done with it is maybe 40 per hit, 70 or so to one player who ran into 2 barrage hits.
