Yeah, I probably won't play much until they fix it. Truth be told, ever since Control left, I've just been running on E. This dry spell isn't fun and it sounds like it's going to go until early April.
I'm just... Bored, man. And I like KC enough to where that puts a little pep in my step. A little more reason to play. But, with it gone, I'm just... Ehh. I'm not really feeling Arenas this season (I played it a lot last season, so that may be why), I've never been huge on Olympus, and SP is just okay.
You pair all this with these long droughts, and rare LTMs (ie, not much to keep the game fresh and exciting) and I just keep getting periods of not wanting to play this game, lack of ambitions and excitement and so on.
Thankfully though, my BP is going well. I do get "bursts" where I want to play, maybe once or twice a week. And I'll go for six or eight hours each day and get a lot done. But, this constant: open the game, do the dailies, collect the treasure packs, etc, I was over that seasons ago. Especially when we go through long periods of minimal content.
And, yeah, before anyone says anything, I know we got Control this season, and a new legend, and all that. But, I also knew that once that mode left, Apex was going to feel boring and stale for a lot of us. And, sure enough, that's where we are. And, KC leaving really just hammered it home for me. Probably because it is my favorite map, and even after all these seasons, I enjoy playing on it over all the others.
But, anyway, that's just me. And sorry for the rant, Cheese Man. You know how I can get sometimes. Lol
I am pretty annoyed control is gone. Now I check apex map tracker and if the map is Stormpoint I play another game. With KC removed from rotation that is now more likely. Thankfully GT7 is a great game.

Well, I mean "straight" is a stretch. Like, I go to the bathroom, have a snack, etc. Also, I mean 6 to 8 hrs "real time", so that counts waiting in Qs, maybe warming up in the firing range, etc. But I get what you're saying.
Also, I will reiterate that it's only when I'm feeling up to it, and it's only about twice a week. So, 12 to 16 hrs a week total right now. That's really no different (time wise) than someone who plays two hours a day doing dailies and such. But I suppose that "burst" nature of it can be more taxing sometimes.
I don't know, man. It's just hard to find a balence with this game. Any live service game really. On one hand, they try to push you to play every day (the daily challenges, treasure packs, etc), but that can be taxing. Sometimes I just don't have the time or ambition to want to do that. Alternatively, with "needing" to get things like BP levels, packs, etc, I sometimes feel like I need to play more than I want to in order to "catch up" from not playing for a few days. You pair all this with Apex's "peaks and valleys" approach to content (3 Week LTM, followed by a month of no new content, and then more less rinse and repeat that action), then it can be really hard to figure out when and how much to play (at least for me).Like I said, I don't always want to play everyday for various reasons, but if I go too long without playing, then there's the whole "catch up" period (especially with more time sensitive things like a 2 week event. You can't just grind all those points out on the last day or whatever. It's not how the system works). And the longer you stay away, it feels like the more you have to do when you come back. Welcome to live service gaming, I guess. I wish the system was laid out a bit better, but sadly it is what it is, at least at the moment.
