Packet loss EU but no Packet loss shows up on the server and my ping is 20ms..

Maybe a week or two ago, i started noticing packet loss, it would blip on and off occasionally but nothing major happened and so i shrugged it off a a little server issue or something, wish i hadn't.

Starting from about 3 days ago, the packet loss has been in every single match i've played and it's not a blip anymore, it's constantly there. My team-mates rubber-band across area's, i'm slingshot when jumping, delays on opening bins or even firing a gun. My friends say i'm just standing still most of the time for no reason.

Odd part was, i checked the server's for most of the packet loss and such, and they all say 0, and my ping in london is 20ms. The only server's i have with Packet loss are USA ones and i never connect to them as they're pings are above 50 for me.

Stable connection
No packet loss
Never had the issue before

Get into a match
Constantly packet loss
Rubber banding even from dropship
Have to disconnect to get it to work.

  • @TTV_Staghearted Okay, not to take this off topic or anything, but YOU HAVE SERVERS THAT ARE BELOW 50 PING???

My closest server is 60-70 ping...

Okay now back on topic. I've had some packet loss recently (2-4%) but only for Apex, so I'm assuming that Apex is just having a bad week due to strain on the servers from staying inside and playing Apex because of the isolation.
  • same with me! but i heard it was because their servers have too many people playing cuz of quarantine

  • @CrazyPlays54 I thought that would be a normal thing if you were to connect to a server of your own country?

Huh. I'm just glad to know i'm not the only person witnessing this kind of lag, but how the * are streamers having no issues with this then? If it's global it should be GLOBAL.
  • It's been stated that the servers we connect to when we start Apex are just for the lobby. Matches usually happen on Google Cloud, AWS or Azure servers, probably data centers closer to the server you connect to, but, when there is net congestion, there's a good chance that you end up on a server far away, at 150ms ping. ISP routing also plays a role, what's geographically further away might be closer lag wise, what is close in terms of ping might go through unstable hops that drops packets, etc..
