Passion in gaming?
ATTENTION GAMERS LISTEN UP What is your passion in gaming and the story about it? Lets get to know one better. Are you passionate about clearing the last boss in a game, going 2 LAN parties, heck, t...
Here are two of the Disney Cells. I’d show you the coins but they are in a safety deposit box and I have to make an appointment to get them out. Next time I’m there I’ll get some pictures. Let’s see some of your gaming collection!!
@Koochi-QOh it’s not about the value. They are not terribly expensive. Basically before CGI, all animation was done on clear cells like that for the movies.. those are two from the movie the Mouse Detective. I think the little mermaid was the last Disney movie made using animation cells.
I just like Disney and thought they were cool art. I don’t like what Disney has become, to corporate and All about profits. But before that Walt Disney was trying to use his park to show the world what it could be.. Epcot was a show case of that or used to be until disney got to corporate. I feel like they lost sight of that.
I’d be interested to see some of your gaming collection though. You did say you collect rhat stuff..

I have good memories of Disney's Fantasia, still worth a watch and listen today, back when animatiors would painstakingly hand draw all of the frames.
While modern computer created animation can look slick and polished, it doesn't quite capture the magic that Fantasia did.
@WingmannedbroBeauty and the Beast was the first movie to use computer animation. I still respect computer animation, there is still creativity involved with it and it’s still art, it’s just a different medium and different tools.
i wish I had cells from Fantasia or some of the older movies like Peter Pan. But those are really hard to find and really expensive.
