I kinda get where they're coming from, but I'm not looking for an additional passive, personally. I'd like to see the recon beacon scan removed, and replaced with the healing on zips ability. For me, it's definitely not a deal-breaker. I just feel like Pathy has been a bit left behind, with some of the newer Legend's abilities and passives. I thought Pathy's was pretty strong back before the direct and indirect nerfs (grapple CD and all recons getting to scan), but now I just use him because he's still my favorite. Plus, with him being the king of the zips, it makes sense for him to have some sort of perk that ties into that, like being able to heal on them, Lol
That being said, I do like that my ult gets a full recharge when I hit a beacon, to an extent. It ties into his zipline dealio, but it's extremely situational. It has come in handy a few times, but it is extremely few and far between, for me.
My biggest surprise with beacons, is that I have yet, to this day, to get sniped in the dome and knocked while attempting to use one. I figured it would have happened a long time ago *knocks on wood*
@dSKyNafinchin Do you play much ranked? At even the medium ranks (say, Plat) it is very likely to get team shot and instantly dead when scanning beacon. That's one resaon why Gibby is meta in comp. In pubs, scanning beacon is far less risky, but also of less value.
