PSA: Ranked Is Not For Solo Queuers.

NOT TROLLING - just looking for a little clarity on some points that interested me and piqued my curiosity.

First, I would also have said, and have said in the past, that I think the vast majority of players in the game (in any mode) are solo queueing. But, is there any hard data from the dev to substantiate the claim?

And also, do we know for a fact that solo queue grinders tend to hit their rank wall at a lower point than players who stack? I would assume that was the case, but I don't KNOW that it's the case. If it is the case and if the developer puts their thumb on the scale to try and change that... is that necessarily a good thing? Or a fair thing? I can think of some analogies but they're possibly flawed and almost certainly inflammatory. And I'm NOT trying to frustrate anyone. I'm just trying to get a better picture of how this all works. At any rate I definitely would call it a pragmatic thing, assuming that solo queuers outnumber stacks by a huge margin. And I'm pretty sure that they do.

I know this much, if humanity is struggling with making video games good luck trying to get to Mars. 😆 🤣 😂 It ain't happening until humanity accepts and tells the truth. Crazy times man. 

Season 28 Has Players Angry

I'll be honest I'm a solo queuer but don't lump me in with the I want to just drop down and run around like a monkey shooting things and getting shot at from 10 different angles. 

I enjoy meeting duos / solos and just vibing with their vibes. Trying to be a good teammate and doing the best that I can to help them out. I'm not the best aim, the best mechanics, can't wall jump that well, but I do have game sense that can even out all that. But it's hard to use that game sense now that there are 3 squads at round 2... It's basically... survive to ring 2 and you can get an easy top 3

So now because I'm solo queueing, my teams decide to hot drop , getting killed before I get a gun , or because I run out of ammo just because Pro players cried about ranked !!!

idk if its just a long lucky streak , but i have the feeling mates are now way better.
I can say for myself : 50% of all the S28 games i played were actually really enjoyable.

The verdict is in: Developer Follow-up: Dropships in Ranked

First things first, thanks to the devs for responding to the mayhem. 

After reading the devs response I agree with reverting back to the dropship, if that's what the community desires as a whole.

I figured that the Ranked player population would decrease "short-term". I was betting on comp-minded players returning to the game and more comp-minded new players would start to play the game, over time. 

Some players have mentioned that the introduction of Wildcard may have caused a decrease of players in Ranked. I'm curious to know if this is the case. Because if it is I don't think the Ranked population decrease warranted the removal of dropzones. If previous Ranked super casual players decided to play Wildcard or Pubs primarily that's a good thing. Ranked should only appeal to comp-minded players, IMO. 

Overall, if the Ranked population decrease is effecting revenue, I understand the revert. Get that money, honey!!!! During the last two seasons I contributed $130. So I did my part.
