Wrong. Completely inaccurate description. SURVIVING is implied because in a BATTLE ROYALE, you are fighting other people. That does not make it a "Survival Battle Royale". They didn't make apex a battle royale for people to rat til the end and call themselves apex legends, do you see the pro players doing that? No. Trying to justify "ratting" as a strat is ignorant, and explains in itself why you quit without you needing to say. stacking your own resume at the expense of others is more important than using your brain to play a squad based battle Royale, where the whole point is to engage the other players in gunfights to show your skill, the way its supposed to be played

    Weighing in here I think @reconzero  is more right than you want to admit.

    Stick to Control, TDM, and for now 3 strike. You aren’t changing the way people play and I promise after 3 years Respawn doesn’t care about what you or anyone else feels about ratting no matter how right you may be.

    At this point you need to face this game is not the game for you if you hate ratting, there really are better games. It will not be different.

    I mean, there is a report option for "Inactivity" so YOU could say that it's not intended to simply go sit in a corner and be afk for an entire game.

    Besides, if you want to look at the wall enitre match, at least do it with 2 of your friends. Not everybody wants to camp only to die the first fight they get into, some people know the risks of taking most fights and are willing to take them.

    And to not have a teammates is already a big downside in standard BR or any mode for that matters but for ranked? It's even worse.

    I’m not saying the game isn’t advertised or wants people to not rat. But it is the way it is designed and Respawn has proven not to want to change it, or will take years to. There’s a huge gap between the commercials for this game and the way it plays.

    The flaw in that argument is that most of us are not pro players. I don't know or care what they do. If I thought for a second that I could just wade into any random fight and come out on top 90% of the time then maybe I'd be a little less cautious.

    Battle Royale is not a rat-style game type. Nor is it exclusively gunfight showdown from drop to final circle. It exists on a continuum between the two extremes, and in my opinion is such a great game type because it encourages the individual player to find their own place on that continuum rather than to conform to someone else's notion of ideal gameplay. Where I'm sure we might find common ground is in the idea that people on one end of the spectrum should not be teamed with people from the other end. That never goes well. But until Respawn starts matching on playstyle instead of "skill" then we'll just all have to suffer along.
