@DoYaSeeMeUmmm, All these game servers are typically in the same places. Most games are using AWS and it makes no sense to get crap performance on Apex but good performance on BFV and those games are both EA! I get 15 ping to nearest servers in both games. I realize Apex matches you and sends to very suboptimal game servers from the lobby but that is part of the huge problem.
I have experienced the same as the OP. Apex is the one game that is unplayable when my routing is literally the same to the game server datacenters.
@BlinkxzAi That ping discrepancy occurs because you have good ping to the lobby but it sends you to a game in another Datacenter region. - E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@GRiPSViGiL Apex is ran on Google Cloud AWS servers. BFV servers are ran on custom servers.
- GRiPSViGiL5 years agoSeasoned Ace@E9ine_AC Is that actually true? From my understanding BFV is also AWS. BattleNonSense was doing metrics on the game performance 2 years ago and in reddit threads stated BFV was on AWS back then. Chris(BattleNonSense) does an amazing job with his videos and analyzing games performance. People here should look him up.
From what I have seen BF has been on AWS for the last few iterations. - E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@GRiPSViGiL It is true google searching will provide this information. They are ran on custom servers.

@E9ine_ACI don't know...This is pretty conclusive that it is on AWS.
https://imgur.com/PrNpQ22Remote name in connection window clearly shows AWS.
