Re: New circle damage is bad, here's why

I've just seen a few wins on youtube because the enemies were caught outside the ring, and some players getting kills a long time after barely scratching their enemies armor and then running away to the next circle. It really sucks, it's like winning a tennis game on an outside court while leading 2-1 because a storm came and you had to stop. You should win because of your aim, tactics, skills, not because the enemy made a mistake and stepped outside the ring for a few moments.

It's a BR. You sound like you want to be playing a TDM. The ring has to have an impact, and timing is also a skill. Your aim only gets you so far.

Learn to adapt and how to use it to your advantage. Don't watch streamers complain and then regurgitate it on here.

  • @Silz616 maybe, but Apex is more like a mix of TDM and BR, that what i liked about it so much. I certainly not going to abandon Apex, it's still my favourite, and I play it because it pushes me to get better skills, I don't really care about battle pass, ranks, skins.

FYI though, those streamers were not complaining, but I felt their disappointment in not getting those kills entirely through their own mastery.

Moral of the story: Watch the ring and time before even join the fight.

Before SS2: Nobody cares about ring time at all, it's utterly harmless, they can fight outside the ring, safely loot, and literally just walk into the ring without any risk

The ring is far and your squad join the fight with 3 other teams, died due to the cicrle dmg and complained. It does not make sense to me, circle dmg is not bad, ur team decision maker is bad, very bad. Dont expect any medkit or even syringe left after a fight with 3 teams.

I like it now. People actually care and do timing, which is good. Ring need to be scary in BR game.

FYI though, those streamers were not complaining, but I felt their disappointment in not getting those kills entirely through their own mastery.

The assumption level is quite high here.

@d3adc3II It's nothing to do with whether the ring was scary or not. The people complaining about the change enjoyed more fights in the early game. The mid-game hasn't exactly paced up as far as I can tell so for players who like fighting more : it hasn't been a good change.
  • @AnlbrdIt's the balance.
    More fights in early game
    Lesser fights in mid game
Much lesser fights toward the end.

    Or
    Much lesser fights early game
More fight in mid and toward the end

In gerneral, It's the balance of BR game.

In ur case, less fights early and mid, which means there are alot more fights in end game.

Imo, I enjoy more fights toward the end when most probably all teams got what they need.
Early game, a guy with M600 chasing other guys with nothing in their hand, it is not fun. The RNG is pretty much the biggest factor during early phase.

Again, The ring should be scary, so people are actually look at the ring time and ring location.
On a side note, it also put 1 of the most useless passive in the game into good use (pathfinder's passive)

So it is a good change.

  • ENG isn't my primary language but I would like to share my point here.

It's not about "when we can fight" or "how many fight"

You guys just didn't figure out why we hate it.

IT'S ABOUT WHETHER WE CAN LOOT OUR REWARD AFTER 2 or 3 FIGHT.

IT'S ABOUT WHETHER WE HAVE CHANCE TO BRING OUR TEAMMATE BACK.

THOSE WHO FIGHT EARLY GAME ALWAYS would be wiped out by SOMEONE SNEAK IN THE RING FIRST.

I lose so many time just cuz I do not have time to loot and recover my hp and armor and the second ring will kill me in 20 second and those people camp in the 3rd ring can take their easy kill with few shot.

Most important there is little chance to take back teammate banner and give them second chance since the new update anymore.

Come on, second chance to fight is what make Apex better than PUBG.

People will give up and rage quit very fast after this week.

The game will be abandon by normal player very soon.

Revert the season 1 ring for normal player in Regular match and Leave the new ring for pro player in Rank match.

Just like Rainbow six siege did. The time of a round is different in rank match.

That's only solution which can make everyone happy.

    Respawn plz
