@CrazyPlays54 That would be a fine excuse if EA wasn't a multimillion dollar company. As it stands: if Easy Anti-Cheat alone isn't enough to stem the flow of filth that is cheating, they should (and could) stack anticheat services.
And before anyone says it - VAC doesn't count. Its not a true or effective anticheat services nor is it meant to fill that role.
Easy Anti-Cheat isnt a wasted opportunity or "bad" service by any means; it is simply not enough on its own to deal with a cheating problem of this magnitude.
If EA actually cared, I think they would stack services. But since the PC community is only one of three, and since the problem is endemic to F2P games like this, the only viable solution is to hardware ban players who cheat, put certain servers behind a paywall, or stack multiple cheat detection services. But since they call cost money (or have an opportunity cost) I think EA is going to gamble that we stay and keep buying hats instead of doing the right thing which requires sacrifice.
Personally, I'm staying. But I wont give them another red cent -- regardless of how cool their new skins and hats are -- until they prove they care about the PC community and take decisive action to curtail cheating.
- @CrazyPlays54 why do people have an issue with people that spend a good amount of money on a product that they love and want to see improve ? Yes 1200 is allot, but thats my money that i worked for and if i want to spend it on something i love then that is my prerogative. I dont question what you spend your money on so pls dont question mine. Not being rude, just find it strange that people act this way when they see someone spend allot on something they enjoy and want to see improve.
True. What else can your earned money do to you, than to buy you goods. Money is worthless untill you use them to bring value to yourself, and no one else.
P.S. Money has the potential to be valuable, but that does not mean it is on its own.
