Re: Why don't you want to add mouse-keyboard control settings for the console?

@DustStar1609 If Respawn eventually decides to go on the input based matchmaking rather than the now console/PC lobbies, then I can see them allowing MnK and then placed with other MnK players in PC lobbies.

The main argument against it would be controller PC players playing against controller switch players with 540p resolution with <30fps.

The main argument against it would be allowing a playerbase largely consisting of cheaters into console lobbies. Don't we have enough problems already?

  • To be fair, youre already in mnk lobbies because of the mouse and keyboard controller mods out there that give mnk with aim assist :P

One of the reasons I flipped my finger to the PS5 and just got a gaming rig instead.

  • I had 100% of my lobbies on the PS4 with them in it so it was far from rare, did they stop using it now?

It pissed me off so bad that I ended scrapping the entire platform when the PS5 was announced.... Actually my ps4 is now my beatsaber only platform standing in the livingroom :D

  • Given the vast number of bans issued to high tier console players in the last year for boosting, dashboarding, "gentlemens agreement," etc., it certainly wouldn't surprise me to learn that a large number of them also use XIM.

@sceptic-noob It is incredibly rare. PC lobbies are way worse for cheats.

Pandareno pretty summed it up, lately it has been seen that the reported bans he has been talking about was mostly performed by Console players. Recently Hideouts Banned 2051 users for collusion etc. PC 607 PS4 859 X1 562 Switch 22

Console make up 69.28% of the offenders in the above list.

    PS4 account for 41.88%

    X-1 account for 27.40%

    PC account for 29.59%

    Switch account for 1.07%

With the above in mind your statement

"PC lobbies are way worse for cheats", holds less water than what you think.

Also add in undetectable strike packs on console controllers.

Really just disable cross play (OP topic is then moot) I am tired of loading into an arenas matches and seeing 1 PC and two console player enemies and getting dumped on. While I have two other PC players with me (also PC). Same goes for Battle Royal when the champion screen has the same type of set up.

@Asmodeus566 You guys are making quite a leap in that. I've personally played against enough high level PC players and console players. PC the movement you see is miles better than console.

    @hayhor

So the numbers do not lie as far as the recent bans concerning collusion go. They are from a Hideouts tweet that @Cheese9Man  provided (that I broke down into percentages) and I think I can trust that.

As far as what I said about strike packs I may be taking a leap there but well it does not matter how well I can move (MnK) strike packs are strike packs and I was not discussing AA.

You also took a leap with stating that PC has more cheaters.

However I do like discussing topics with you and think that this is a great why to exchange views in a civil manner even when we have differing stances. Of course it is better when we are on the same page.

@Asmodeus566 Those numbers were about trading kills in ranked. Not aimbot, walls, speed hacks, etc.. PC dominates in that regard.

I fully understand the intention behind what was said. However cheating is cheating and if you are to say the PC has more cheaters than console than one should have some sort of proof or data points to work off of.  Are you sure that PC dominates in the cheats you are mentioning? I mean I can not even say that console dominates in cheating for trading kills/collusion in general I can only say that in the recent instance of announced bans that they did.

@Asmodeus566 "Are you sure that PC dominates in the cheats you are mentioning?"

    Yes.
Check Hideouts' tweets then. Literally every time someone posts a video of an aimbotter that he bans, it's PC. As I naturally can't say it's 100%, then let's put a conservative estimate and say 99% of the time.

In general after seeing some few can jitter aim flatline and hit well at a distance with it, in general most people using jitter aim is using a strikepack to do it. I have one I used on my console way back just to get back paddles, but had it in competition mode so I could not use the mods, and the mods had aim help, jitter aim, 180 turn, auto building for fortnite and even auto edit on fire for fortnite, so many different small things to help get an advantage. And when you inspect on console you can easilly see who is using xim and jitter mods, and I doubt it is any less now then when I did console. I even played my first 6 months on pc with a controller with no issue whatsoever with everything people are complaining about, I just used my strengths, CQC in conjunction with aimassist 😉 Recent year I converted to MnK because my controller started drifting so I could not be arsed getting a new one with the insane freight times of this pandemic and I kinda learned how to cope in that world aswell, which ofcourse give me a range advantage but I am far worse at CQC now then before. Btw note that all my bombs been done on controller on PC not with MnK 😉

I will agree thet PC has more sophisticated cheats (but Im not sure who has the most cheaters), with speed hacks, wall hacks and aimbottin which is very annoying but I am still praying to the anticheat gods that they will find a unicorn to slaughter all the cheaters (also on console).

Almost had my third all-time sus moment the other day actually. Two people getting me with almost all headshots. But then my Octane proceeds to 1v2 them 20 seconds later without even getting cracked, so I shrugged it off as dumb luck.

And as said before: I have over 10.000 games. Had two sus enemies in all that time. I can go on Twitch to watch PC players and sometimes see two sus moments in an hour.

Sus moments increase with rank in ranked 😉

@ZkepzI have seen many many times some blatant small pp ******** in pubs though. So if it's much worse in ranked, I don't understand people even bother playing that dumb mode. I don't even understand playing it on console, but on PC... 🤪

@Asmodeus566 I'm not taking a leap about the amount of cheats PC vs console. I've played in PC lobbies abiut 1% of my overall game time. In every PC session I've played I've seen cheaters. So that leads me to believe PC cheating is much easier and more prevalent.
